The One of Mine
Summary
Leigh Nolan is a shy, reserved girl with three main loves; music, writing, and self-harm. She’s built a wall around her emotions and refuses to let them show. She puts on an act for everyone so they never really know of her pain. She’s never opened up to anyone before; not even her mother, but when they move to New Jersey just before her junior year of high school, could all of that change?
-This story is strictly a work of fiction and any references to significant figures will be noted at the end of the chapter it appears in, otherwise they are simply coincidencial.
-I have created and own the story, the original characters and the plot.
-(Sadly for me) I do not own My Chemical Romance or any of its members. (But I wish I did.)

R-rating for language and potentially triggering material.
Characters

Bob Bryar
The scary looking, totally sweet drummer of the band. He's funny and tries to make Leigh feel more comfortable around others and it's clear to him that she's diffident and unwilling to budge but he still won't give up.

Frank Iero
One of Gerard's friends who plays guitar and is super sweet to Leigh despite her icy demeanor. He's energetic and playful but can be a total grown up when he needs to be, though thankfully for him, that's not too often.

Gerard Way
Gerard is a shy but sweet artist and musician. He and Leigh become neighbors when she moves from NY. He’s kind and friendly and tries to get to know Leigh despite her efforts to ignore him. He, along with his band mates including his brother, Mikey, try to get Leigh to open up and enjoy life a little and teach her that it’s okay to be hurting. Along the way, Leigh may learn that no matter how hard she tries, she won’t be able to avoid Gerard.

Leigh Nolan
Leigh is good at keeping to herself and letting no one in. She hides her emotions from everyone and refuses to be seen as weak, but when she and her mom move from New York to New Jersey, Leigh meets someone who may be able to change her, perhaps for the better.

Mikey Way
Gerard’s younger brother. Although he’s still only in middle school, Mikey seems a lot older than he really is. Along with his mature looking exterior, Mikey is very intelligent and often makes people forget just how young he really is. He’s a very talented bass player and loves making music with this brother. Although he and Leigh aren’t the closest of friends, he's always there for her if she needs him and he makes sure she knows that.

Ray Toro
Another of Gerard's friends who, along with Frank, plays the guitar in the band. He's smart and kind and shy himself but still tries to get Leigh to open up.
