Summary
It's 1944.
Gerard, Frank, Ray and Michael spent the years at war.
Michael didn't come back...
Gerard only has so much more left he can take. But when he finds a letter from his deceased lover, he discovers that one person that he still has might still be alive. The only problem is he's never met her.

Alice
11, and the one they've been looking for.
Emily
Ray's girl. She has post-traumatic stress disorder, which is what makes them both so familiar for each other. They both lost someone they loved.
Frank
For him it's just as bad as the rest of his friends, but with his own form of romance, love is in the air...
Gerard
With flashbacks every day, and his brother and former lover dead, it's hard for him to live a normal life, until he sparks something with one woman in particular...
Hannah
Micheal's former lover. She can't take it when she discovers he's gone.
Lucy
Frank's one and only lover. With a feisty attitude it's no wonder she survived the war.
Michael (Mikey)
He dies at war, in pain, surrounded by nothing but horror. He didn't just die in pain, he dies in front of his own brother.
Ray
He lost his father at WW1, and he wasn't able to save him. He vowed to save people, because he couldn't save his father. He became a surgeon in WW2, but he wasn't able to fufill his vows.
Susan
Gerard's new "girlfriend". Her love is the only thing the keeps him sane, No matter how she met him.
