After the tragic death of his parents, Frank Iero decides that the best thing he could do would be to escape the painful memories of his home in New Jersey and run away to New York. Not even really thinking of the practicalities of running away from your home, friends, family and even your girlfriend, Frank finds himself lost in the strange city without a clue what to do.

But when Gerard Way, the mysterious, unknown, and even scary ruler of the New York Streets comes to his rescue, he finds himself drawn to the man's peculiar aura. Despite every shred of common sense screaming at him to run away, he inexplicably ends up joining the man in a relationship Frank could never have predicted, especially with all the strange with all the strange people surrounding Gerard's world, and even the many people contained within Gerard's own head.
