Summary
"It's none of my business... But, why the fuck, are you wearing mom's dress?" Mikey Way asked his 18 year old brother, Gerard.
After highschool, and with a BFA in art from college, now 21 year old Gerard Way lives in New York. He's living in an apartment that he could barely afford until he took on a roommate from Craigslist. He's a shy, greasy haired introvert who works on his own comic for most of his day, trying to find a company who'll accept his pitch... But throw on a red wig, some makeup, and summon his sassy quirky stage persona and he is Jessica Starlight, a drag queen who dances and performs at a club.
Throw in a wannabe musican who becomes entranced by the 'Jessica' and who ends up coming to the club every night to watch him... But what happens when Frank ends up meeting the man behind the stage persona? Will he be as enamored with Gerard, as he is with Jessica?
Characters
Frank Iero
A 20 year old, out of work guitar tech who decided to move to New York to follow his dream of being a musician. Wanders into a club one day and sees Jessica Starlight preforming and quickly becomes enamored with him.
Gerard Way
A 21 year old comic book writer and illustrator who struggles to pay the bills with his day job. He eats so much Chinese takeout that he knows the people in the store and on the phone on a first name basis. Shy and a bit socially awkward when being himself.
Jessica Starlight
Gerard's stage and drag persona. Jessica is extremely sassy and confident onstage and offstage while he still has the 'switch flipped'.
Lindsey Ballato
22 and Gerard's spunky, best friend, fake girlfriend (in emergency situations), and roommate who plays bass guitar late into the night and also in a band while working at Starbucks during the day. Met him while apartment shopping on Craigslist. Is the perfect opposite to her roommate.
Mikey Way
With a jawline that could kill Gerard's 18 year old college student psychology majoring brother plays bass and guitar for fun and comes to visit Gerard when he has free time from school.
