Stage Persona

I tidy up my house waiting for Lindsey to arrive, and I may've knocked back a few beers to calm the panicked feeling in my chest.
I really need this to work out.
About fifteen minutes later I hear a buzz on the intercom, I hit the button and a voice says, "Gerard? It's Lindsey?"
I hit the button to let her in, "Come on up!" The agonizing few moments it takes her to climb the two flights off stairs I spend chewing nervously on my nails until I hear a knock on the door.
I hurry over and open the door to a girl about my hight with bright red lipstick and black pigtails, wearing a kaki shirt and jeans and black combat boots.
"Hi! I'm Lindsey!"

"Hi, Lindsey," I shake her hand and smile, inviting her in.
She smiles and walks in, looking around.
"Just let me know if you have any questions," I say with a smile.

"Alright, thanks." She continues to look around, checking out the rooms until she comes back to the living room.

"So, where would I sleep?"

"I had a guest bedroom that I turned into an art studio when I first moved in, I can turn it back for you as long as you have a bed frame and a mattress and any other furniture you want."

She nods, "And how much are the bills each month?"

"Um... Anywhere from eleven hundred to fifteen hundred."
She slowly nods again, she does a lot of nodding and it's kinda weirding me out,

"When can I move in?"

"Wait so-
You-" I sputter, taking a moment to figure out how to speak again, "You want to..
You want to move in?"

"Mmhm! It's a pretty nice place and you're pretty cool, I don't see any reason why this shouldn't work out."

I beam at her, "Thursday.
I can have the room cleared out and ready for you on Thursday."

Hey guys!
Sorry it's been a while and sorry this chapter is shit, senior year at my bigoted school has started, and being the closeted lesbian that I am it's been just a little awkward and I just basically haven't had any motivation to write. I'm sorry this chapter is basically dialog but hopefully I'll be able to have another update out soon, I've cleaned up my room and it's really hard for me to function in cluttered spaces so hopefully that will help!
