Is it love or is it hate

Frank is the most popular kid and the biggest bully in school. Teachers love him, girls want him and his gang needs him but one kid despises him. Frank's gang always beats up Gerard and Gerard believes that Frank is making them do it. I mean would you blame him? Frank is the leader. Frank pretends to hate Gerard but really wants to help him. He doesn't know that his gang beats Gerard up and he wonders why Gerard hates him so much.
