Beyond The Filter

*time lapse, one week later*
Time flies when I'm with my new friends. It's incredible, the feeling of actual love and consideration for one another is such a new and thrilling feeling to me. Gerard has been keeping a close eye one as I get to know the other boys so that things don't get awkward. Ray, I already consider him a brother. Always making sure I'm doing the right thing, making sure that I've got everything g that I want. He's like what Pete used to be before he practically banished me away from his house and then to only check in with me every now and then when he feels like it. We've exchanged hobbies, turns put that he's an amazing guitar player as well as an amazing hair grower. I'm not joking when I say I'm really jealous of how incredible his fro is. Que nickname; the Fro Fro king. Frank, other than being almost the worlds shortest sixteen year old, can also play the guitar really well. He's usually spotted with his beloved guitar, pansy, it's as if it's a drug to him that he can't get enough of. And then there's Mikey. I don't know much about him. I know he's concerned about what's 'happening' but it seemed like he's really scared. I don't understand why.

We arrive at mine and Gerard's favourite new gathering spot. A special place in the park where nobody goes. It's almost unnoticeable to the ordinary passer-by, but once you see it, it's incredible. There is a worn down plain wall of which Gerard is filling up with his paints, painting cartoon images of us with strange masks and ray guns. I don't know. And then there's a little concrete area to sit, maybe build a little fire and put all our stuff on. Then the place is surrounded by the most beautiful flowers. Little tiny snowdrops coated this particular area. Through the trees and bushes, you get the illumination from the lake next to us. It truely was beautiful. Gerard noticed me just staring at our spot and shuffled to my side, hip bumping me at the same time.
"Do you mind sir?!" I scoffed.
"Actually no! I was just enjoying the view." he said as he stared intently at me.
"It's amazing what you can find, even when you're not looking for it."
"Yeah..." I could see slight blushing creeping up on Gerard's cheek. Me?! I made Gerard blush?! What is the world coming to?
"Anyway, you got your camera? A few shots would be great I'm guessing?"
"Oh yes! Of course! Oohhh which lens could I use? And the filter? What would be great? What can capture this sheer beauty?"
"I'm not sure, so I guess I'll just leave you to your devices?" he asked
"Oh, yes if you insist" I replied with a curtsy. I set up my equipment and captured my beautiful image.
"Thats a great shot." said a familiar voice right behind my ear. I turned quickly, almost too quickly, and tripped slightly backwards. Gerard took action straight away and reached for both my arms. Suddenly we was even closer than before and I finally recognised the look in his eyes. Want, passion, friendship, consideration and...

Love?

What is this? His arms remained attached to mine as he locked eyes with me.
"I know we've only known each other for a week but honestly... Oh gosh I don't know how to say this," he explained, biting his lip as he tried to configure a sentence. I was dumbfounded. My body stayed in that one place, not knowing if I want to move, or to stay in his arms forever.
"But Crystal, I think I-" Both our heads turned at the rustle of leaves beside us and I jumped away, shooting him an apologetic smile. It was the rest of the guys, armed to the brim with coffee. My lord and saviours.
"Hope we wasn't interrupting you twos looooove session, but we bought all of us some coffee. Here, latte for Crystal and unbelievabley strong for Gerard, freak." Frank mocked. Gosh I love him, but I do hate him at the same time. In a friendly way of course.
"Nice one buddy. Glad I've kept you around all these years." Gerard said as he patted his head. Best friends. What are you going to do? We started to head home after that.

Nothing else really happened. Frank and Ray were begging me to take pictures of us all for a photo album that we can all share. I mean sure, why not? But I don't trust Frank with my camera, no way. After half an hour of begging, we stumble across the girls that have given me grief for the past god knows how many years.
"Ooooh look mummy's girl not at school? I thought you had killed yourself. Well that's the rumour, disappointed that it's not true." great Jade, wondered where her makeup plastered face had disappeared to. Suddenly, Gerard had wizzed past me and was almost in her face. What?
"You fucking DARE speak to her, touch her, look at her or even fucking BREATH in the same direction as her I will have your fucking face in a pile of fucking mud and shit while I get my boys to beat the crap put of you. Now Piss off you fucking typical bitchy slut."

Holy crap

I stared at him and Jade made a noise of worry and distress as her heels made a quick 'clicking' noise into the distance. Oh my gosh. Gerard turned and looked at me, just to shrug His shoulders and simply walk on. I look at Frank and he takes my arm to get me moving. Let's just say that was probably one of the most weirdest but wonderful walks I've ever had.
