Frank's POV
When I left Gerard, I worried about him. He had already had a drink or two before we got to the hospital and depending on what happened with Elena, he may have just drank some more.
When he came into my house, it was obvious he had, had a few drinks. He'd never admit that to anyone. He was kind of ashamed of what happened that night. He doesn't want to admit that that night he set off the beginning of his downfall. He didn't take anything, he just got really drunk. The interesting thing is, the story he will tell you will be exactly the same as mine, just he claims that he wasn't drunk.
When I went home to my apartment, it was dark, and lonely, I much preferred to be in Gerard's apartment or practicing with the guys. I wasn't alone enough, or home enough, to want to be there. I sat on the couch awkwardly watching TV, waiting, wondering, if something would happen.
When Gerard stumbled in I stood up, “I was worried about you," I whispered to him.
The conversation went on and I ended up with Gerard on top of me, lying on the couch. I liked the situation I was in, but that strong taste of alcohol was revolting. Gerard had just told me he loved me and he was drunk. For all these months I’ve been dreaming of this, how it was going wasn't exactly how I had imagined. "Gee, baby, let's just watch the movie,” I smiled up at him.
"Fine," he groaned rolling onto the floor. Gerard sat up leaning against the couch. I ran my fingers through his hair as he sat in front of me on the floor.
"Gee?" I asked quietly getting his attention.
"Yes Frankie?" Gerard turned down the sound of the moans and cried of the zombies from the screen.
"You've never told me about your family, not Mikey but like your mom and dad."
Gerard's clicking finger stopped pressing the volume button as I finished speaking. His reaction alone implied this was a touchy subject for him.
“Why do you care,” he grumbled, “not like they’re interesting or anything.”
“Well cause baby, they’re your family, and it’s where you’ve come from, I just want to know about that, it’s how you came to be who you are,” I slid to the floor beside him.
“Typical family is all,” Gerard stared at the TV, but by the look on his face it was obvious he really wasn’t staring at the TV at all, but an image in his mind.
“Gerard, just tell me abut this ‘typical family life’ obviously I want to know, so why are you resisting?” I frowned at him.
“Because I don’t exactly love it, okay Frank?!” Gerard snapped at me.
“Gerard…” my voice was soft at that point, I didn’t want to make him even more mad than he already was, but I still wanted an answer. “Please.”
“You’re not going to let this go are you?”
I shook my head as I nuzzled into his neck.
“My moms a workaholic and my dad doesn’t give a shit about any of us,” Gerard’s muttered while his eyes held an angry stare.
“What do you mean your dad doesn’t care?” I furrowed my brow.
“He does not care,” Gerard looked over at me pronouncing his words carefully, “what more is there too it? He likes drinking, more than he likes us,” Gerard boosted himself up off the floor throwing the remote on the couch in the process. “The only reason he sticks around is because my mom’s office habits supply him the booze.” Gerard made his way to the kitchen; I was concerned he’d emerge my tiny cooking space with one of my numerous bottles of beer. I was more than happy to share with him, but this was not on the top of list of things he needed right now. “Can I get you something Frank?”
“What’re you getting?” I stood up to follow him in.
“Just a coffee,” I heard my ancient coffee pot fire up, it wasn’t the prettiest thing ever, but it supplied our beverage of choice quite efficiently.
“Oh well, then I’ll have on too,” I replied with a smile, I was proud of him for resisting his urges. As Gerard poured a mug for the both of us, I was only disappointed to find that he grabbed a bottle from the cabinet and enhanced his coffee to satisfaction. I sipped at my coffee disappointed with a solid frown.
“Does your dad just drink all the time?” I asked staring into my mug sitting at the table.
“Whenever he can get his grubby hands on a bottle,” Gerard glared as we both listened to the clink of the spoon hitting the ceramic edges of his mug. “He’s not abusive when he drinks or anything, he’s just not particularly friendly. He yells, gets a little violent with what he does,” Gerard used dramatic hand motions. As Gerard drank more and more, his level of honesty increased along with, at the same time, it became increasingly clear where Gerard acquired his troubling tendencies from. Gee would make himself another cup of coffee and put a little bit more booze than the time before into his intoxicating concoction. Eventually by the end of the night he held a cup of coffee and the booze in the other hand. All he did was keep talking, about childhood stories, of him and his brother. All the things he did to the poor kid. Stories of his father before he was a drunk, and after, I would zone out from time to time, just thinking, about everything, what was happening, between us, in Gerard’s life, in my own, and as he told me more and more of his stories, I forgot that Gerard wasn’t talking about himself but his father. It was actually quite sad for me to think about.
It made me wonder if Gerard’s past would define his future.

I just used up my entire day to read this entire story because its just so awesome :D
I really wish you could make a sequel (or maybe a short-story/epilogue type of thing?) I would love to see what happened with Lynz and Jamia. Oh, and also, I didn't get the ending. Are Gee and Frank together or not? Did they even get back together after trying to rebuild their friendship? Amazing story, I really loved the ending~
