Laugh with me

it was just after gerard turned 9 years old that anthony had secretly built a tree house in the backyard, anthony
had spent time on it when gerard and frank was at school he didnt go to work so he could finish it by the time they
got home, as soon as frank and gerard go through the door frank dropped his bag and grabbed gerards sleeve,
"come!" frank giggled yanking him to the back door, gerard was slightly scared but as soon as he almost tripped
into the garden he widened his eyes, he layed his eyes on a giant treehouse resting on an old tree in the corner of
the yard,
"you like it?" anthony shouted as he was climbing down the lader
"its amazing dad!" frank shouted back, gerard stood there he didnt know what to do
"arent you going to play?" anthony ask
gerard drifted from his gase and ran over he climbed up the rope ladder then gripped on to the square hole, pulling
himself up,
"what do you want to please?" frank smiled
"anything i guess" gerard shrugged
since christmas gerard has only spoke to frank, but only when theyre alone or when he feels like it
frank huffed and sat on the hard floor
"we could sleep in here! and make a fort and tell stories and make it a war zone so we can fight off zombie
pirates!" frank gasped getting into his own imagination
"okay" gerard smiled a little its rare he does frank doesnt know why he always loves gerard smiled, frank smiled
back with two big gaps on the bottom row of his teeth
frank ran and climbed down, gerard cralwed across the floor and look out the window he watched frank run into the house, gerard lent back on the wall while looking around he huffed out and closed his eyes
around ten minuets later he woke up to frank shouting his name gerard sat up and went over to the door hole, he laughed at the way frank had a billion quilts
"can you help me?" he moan
"one second" gerard replied
he went feet first and climbed down half way and let go of the ladder with one hand, frank handed him the covers and he pulled them up.
once they were all up they pinned corners on the wall and made a fort, by night fall frank grabbed a tourch and lit up his face from under his chin
"wonna here a scary storie?" he whispered to gerard who was clitching a pillow hiding his nose and mouth
"n-no" he muttered
"once upon a night two little boys went hunting for a ghost in their attic, there names were jim and daniel, jim went up first and then daniel, jim pulled the string on the light bulb and it turned on, there was a laugh coming from the corner on the right, behind the boxes jim made daniel check it out, he grabbed his shirt from behind and pushed him forward, daniel slowly walked behind the boxes shaking he relaxed when nothing but a toy clown was there
"theres nothing here" daniel laughed, but later that night when they slept in their beds jim felt something move under his covers he frowned and looked under to see if something was there, nothing he dropped the cover then heard a laugh he looked up and all of a sudden"
"STOP!" gerard cried "frankie please!" he cried shoving his head into his pillow
"gerard i'm sorry i scared you" frank said sadly
"i'm sorry i'm a baby" he muttered
"dont worry" frank smiled "want a hug and sleep?" he asked
gerard nodded frank layed down and gerard did the same, frank shifted and hugged gerard from behind they snuggled tight as a cold breeze entered the tree house
"frankie?"
"yeah?"
"i'm scared"
"i'll protect you dont worry"
"put youre littler then me"
"but im bigger then your nightmares" frank smiled into gerards hair
"okay" gerard whispered back still holding the pillow tightly
