The Hardest Part Is Letting Go Of Your Dreams

Chapter Fifty Two

After dinner we go back to bed and cuddle, just being close to each other until we fall asleep. The next morning Frank wakes me up by kissing all over my face and tickling me and I squirm beneath him until he pulls away and says "Time to get up babe. You have work in an hour." I drag myself out of bed and towards the bathroom, stepping in the shower and a few minutes later Frank joins me and we wash each other, getting distracted by kissing each other and by the time I drag myself out of the shower and get dressed for work I have twenty five minutes to get there and the walk takes ten. While I run around the house looking for my missing shoe Frank makes
me a croissant with jam and when I finally find it we shrug on our jackets and Frank hands it to me before we leave the house, Frank starting half an hour after me so he walks me
to work first and gets himself free coffee. When we get to the store I still have a few minutes before I start so we sit at a table while Franks coffee is being made and I lean in and press my lips to his. When we pull away I stand up and say goodbye before hugging him and going behind the counter to start my shift. When he gets his coffee Frank smiles and waves before walking out the door towards the guitar store he works in. When he's gone William comes over and presses himself to my back as he leans down and whispers "Who was that?" In my ear and I step away from him before turning around and saying "My husband." William looks shocked before he smirks and says "Sex gone from your marriage already?" And I feel myself snap. I grab Williams wrist and drag him out the back into the supply closet before pushing him away and spitting out "Don't you dare talk about my husband. You have no idea what you're talking about, you know nothing about me so shut the fuck up." William holds his hands out and says "Wow calm down I was just joking around." I hang my head and huff out a breath before I straighten up again and leave the room, going out the front and serving customers, avoiding William for the rest of my shift.
Later that afternoon I go home and Frank is still at work so I clean up and flop onto the bed exhausted. I'm woken up by Frank leaning over me sniffing me and when he notices I'm awake he blushes and smiles at me sheepishly. "What are you doing?" I ask and he giggles and says "You smell so good. Well you always smell good but after work you smell amazing." I shake my head as I say "You really are a coffee junkie" before wrapping my arms around him and pulling him down into my chest, cuddling him and smiling wide. After we pull apart I get up to go take a shower and Frank comes too, sitting on the closed toilet and telling me about his day while I wash myself. After I get out Frank tells me to get dressed and he's going to take me out for dinner. I smile and go into the bedroom to dress. Once we leave the house we walk hand in hand until we reach a nearby Italian restaurant. Dinner is nice and passes uneventfully and when we leave the restaurant we walk past a group of drunk guys on the street. I grab Franks hand and quicken my pace, getting a bad feeling from them when someone calls out my name. I turn my head to look and William emerges from the group and I feel my stomach drop. He walks over to us and gets in Franks face before drunkenly slurring "I know something you don't know" and I feel the colour drain from my face. William shifts his gaze to me for a second and I shake my head, pleading with my eyes for him to not tell but he smiles and looks back at Frank, opening his mouth and I prepare myself for my world to end.

Thank you for this great story! I read it over the last couple of days, and was sad when it ended. I really enjoyed the relationship between Frank and Gerard, especially the beginning was thrilling!
The only thing I didn't like so much were the parts about Ruby, for they were really long and not that exciting. Anyways, thank you very much and I'll definitely reread it again some day :D!
