You Only Hear The Music When Your Heart Begins To Break

I wake up the next day still in Gerard's arms. He is humming softly again as he strokes my hair and holds me close and it is the most relaxing way to wake up that I've ever experienced. 'Maybe it's time to tell him how I feel' Ithink as I open my eyes to look up at him. Just as I open my mouth there's a loud banging on the door followed by loud footsteps coming down the stairs. We both sit up just in time to see Gerard's mother enter the room followed closely by Trick. Trick walks over and pulls me out of the bed and wraps his arms around me roughly while murmuring "Thank god you're alright." Before stepping back and raising his voice "What were you thinking? Leaving in the middle of the night with no note. Don't ever do this to me again. Thank god you were here."
I lower my head and my face feels like its on fire. I am so embarrassed that he's doing this to me infront of Gerard. He's definatly not going to want me now. "Come on Z it's time to go home." Trick says, breaking me from my thoughts. I turn my head to look at Gerard but can't meet his eyes. I feel tears welling in my eyes as I say sorry and start to follow Trick out of the room. The walk home is silent and when we get there I head straight for the stairs but Trick tries to stop me. "What's going on with you and Gerard?" He asks rather rudely. I look up at him and push past without a word. I run upstairs and slam my bedroom door shut behind me. I can't believe he would do this to me. He ruined everything.
An hour passes with me laying on my bed staring at the roof when there's a knock on my door. "Fuck off Trick I don't want to talk to you."
"It's not Trick" comes Gerard's voice from the other side of the door. I walk over and open the door but can't bring myself to meet his eye, still embarrassed from before and prepared for him to tell me he doesn't want to be my friend anymore. His hand reaches out and he rests his fingers under my chin and lifts my head up to meet his gaze. He stares at me for a second before smiling and leaning down to press a gentle kiss on my lips. When he pulls back I stare at him in disbelief before he says "I really like you Z."
"I like you too. I tried to tell you this morning." I say as I search his face for any sign that this is a joke. "I've been trying to tell you for weeks" is his response and I know that it's for real. We move towards each other and he wraps his arms around me. I snuggle into his chest for a moment before pulling away and ushering him into the room. I close the door again and make my way over to the couch where he's sitting and settle down next to him. He leans over and kisses me again and this time I kiss back, just a simple movement of lips, not pushing it any further. When we break apart I ask "So what does this mean now?"
"Z will you be my girlfriend?" He asks and looks genuinely worried about the answer. "Of course I will" I reply with a huge grin. We smile at each other before moving together to kiss again. This time we push it a little further and our tongues slowly move together. After a few minutes his hands grip my waist and he guides me over to straddle his lap as we continue to kiss and he rubs his hands up and down my back. Things start to get heated and he stands while i wrap my legs around his waist as he walks us over to the bed, never breaking our kiss. He gently lays me down and climbs on top of me and we continue to kiss as his hands start to explore my body. I slide my hands up his back and into his hair and his hands slide from my hips up my sides towards my chest. We break apart for air, our noses slightly brushing as we gaze into each other's eyes, pupils blown, while we pant raggedly.
Just then the door opens and Trick walks in.
