You Only Hear The Music When Your Heart Begins To Break

A month later my bump has grown significantly and my morning sickness has faded. When I go for my doctors appointment Gerard is busy with classes and can't make it. I go in by myself and tell the doctor how I've been feeling since the last check up. He asks me to lift up my shirt and he seems a little taken back by how big the bump is. "You seem to be a little bigger than would be normal at this stage of a pregnancy so I would like to take a look at what's going on" he says before asking me to get on the exam table. "Azali you need to calm down sweetheart" the doctor tells me as he helps me sit up. "Take deep breaths and focus on one thing. Everything will be alright."
I feel myself slowly calming down until my breathing returns to normal and I hop off the table. After the doctor prints me a photo I leave the office and decide I can't wait until Gerard gets home to tell him the news so I hail a cab and go to his school. I look at my watch and see that his current class ends in about ten minutes and he has an hour break before the next one. I take a seat on a bench outside the building I'm pretty sure his current class is in and ten minutes later he comes out laughing and joking with one of his friends. "This is our baby" I point to the shape and he smiles before I point to the other one and say "this is our second baby" and he looks at me in disbelief before staring at the picture again. "We're having twins?" He exclaims before jumping up and rushing over to his friends thrusting the photo in their faces and gushing about it. When he comes back over to me he kneels infront of me as he braces his hands either side of my bump and whispers to the babies. I can't make out everything he is saying but I catch bits and pieces "You have the most beautiful amazing mommy in the whole world.......I love you guys so so much.......I can't wait to meet you amazing miracles." I smile at how adorable he is being before he looks up at me and smiles back and leans up to kiss me.
After he goes to his next class I get another cab and go home to wait for Gerard.

Later that night I wake up incredibly horny. I glance over at the clock and see it is 3am. I try to just go back to sleep after seeing how peaceful Gerard looks laying next to me but after ten minutes of squirming around I can't take it any longer. He asks and I nod and tell him I'd like that. In the shower I smile to myself about how cute Gerard is when he tries to cook. I've been teaching him basic meals and he is so proud of himself that he can cook now.
When I sit at the table he lays a plate of chocolate chip pancakes topped with sliced strawberries infront of me before grabbing the syrup and joining me with his own plate. He waits for me to take the first bite and I hum in contentment as I chew and after I swallow I smile at him and tell him how good they are. He smiles back and starts to eat as I get up to grab a glass of juice. "You want some juice baby" I ask and he nods. As I sit both glasses on the table I feel a fluttering feeling in my stomach and I drop my hands down to rest over it. "Baby are you ok" Gerard asks and I smile and nod. "Yeah the babies are starting to kick" I tell him and he reaches out for my bump. "It's only really light but the doctor said to expect it but it won't be strong enough to feel from the outside for a few more weeks." Gerard looks disappointed at this news so I kiss him and tell him "As soon as you I can feel it from the outside I will tell you baby" Before sitting down to finish my pancakes.
