You Only Hear The Music When Your Heart Begins To Break

The next four days drag on while I am at school by myself. Gerard is at the front gate to meet me every afternoon and walk me home but I miss him at lunch. He didn't get punished further than the suspension, Donna fully understanding of the situation. Finally it is Friday afternoon, my last day at school alone and Gerard and I are walking home hand in hand. The sky is a menacing black and I hope it doesn't rain again before we get home. Just as I finish that thought the sky opens and we are caught in a massive downpour. We link fingers and start to run the last block to my house but by the time we get there we are soaked, my white blouse going see through. We drag ourselves through the door and into the warmth. I look over and see Gerard staring at me with glazed over eyes right before he lunges at me and grabs me around the hips, picking me up and slamming my back against the wall. I tighten my legs around his waist as he dives in and starts kissing and sucking my neck. "God you turn me on" he moans out against my neck. "You smell so good all wet like that." I mentally cheer that Trick is not home right now but my heart stops as someone clears their throat. Gerard steps back immediately and lets go of me and I fall to the floor. I look over and see William standing in the doorway to the living room staring at me with concern before rushing over and dropping to his knees infront of me as does Gerard. "Oh my god are you ok?" Asks William as he reaches out to me. "Baby I am so
sorry" Gerard says as his hands grip my waist to help ease me up. The pain in my lower back is intense and I wonder if I have broken anything in the fall when arms pick me up and cradle me to Gerard's chest as he stands and carries me into the living room. Once I'm laid on the couch both boys fuss over me to see if I'm alright. "Z I'm so sorry I didn't mean for you to get hurt, I just thought you guys should know you aren't alone here" William apologises again looking sheepish. "It's fine, just give me some room to breathe" I tell them both and William steps back to take a seat on the other couch and Gerard sinks to the floor infront of me and clutches my hand. After a few minutes the pain eases a little and I sit up and rub at the area that still hurts. William is trying really hard to not laugh so I poke my tongue out at him and he cracks and doubles over in laughter.
I start to shiver and Gerard stands to help me up. "Come on you need to get out of those clothes before you get sick babe" he tells me as he helps me stand up. I let go of his hand and take a few steps but my legs feel heavy and I wobble before Gerard grabs me to steady me. "Z are you ok?" He asks and I nod and tell him I'll be ok. Gerard shakes his head and scoops me into his arms and carries me upstairs but instead of going into my room he takes me to the bathroom and sits me on the closed toilet. Once I'm seated he leans over and starts to run me a hot bath. I smile up at him as steam fills the room and look forward to getting in the hot water. "You're joining me right?" I ask and he shakes his head. "I don't have any other clothes babe, but I'll stay and keep you company." I think for a moment before realising "I still have your sweatpants and t shirt from the other day."
I tell Gerard where he will find the clothes in my room and he nods before leaving to go grab them. When he comes back he closes the door and helps me get out of my wet clothes. After he lowers me into the hot water he works on his own clothes and sinks into the water behind me. I lay back against his chest and feel instantly better. "Baby I am so sorry for hurting you. Is your back ok?" "I'm ok, I promise. I just need time to recover." I rest my head back against his shoulder and he nuzzles into my hair. I smile and close my eyes enjoying the hot water.

Later that night Gerard goes home to get some clean clothes and tell his mom he is staying the night here while I relax in bed. While he's gone Trick comes home and I hear William telling him about what happened. A few minutes later Trick comes into my room and gets in bed with me, pulling me into his arms. "What am I going to do with you?" He asks while shaking his head. "Oh shut up" I tell him playfully and enjoy the feeling of being held by him. Even though he is my brother we are incredibly close and he is also my best friend and has been for a long time. "So how is things with you and William?" I ask and at the mention of his name Tricks face spreads into a massive grin. "Really good. I think I love him but I'm worried it might be too soon to say it. I don't want to mess this up Z, he means a lot to me."
"I love you too" we hear coming from the doorway. We look over and William is standing there smiling with Gerard next to him. Trick stands up and crosses the room to William and grabs him in a huge hug planting kisses on his face. "Ew gross" I exclaim and they both shoot me a hurt look. "I'm joking you guys just let's keep the PDAs to a minimum." They nod in agreement and leave the room closing the door behind them. I focus my attention on Gerard as he makes his way over to the bed. "I missed you" I tell him and he smiles widely as he leans in to kiss me. "You know I was very disappointed that we got interrupted earlier" I tell him and he smirks and climbs over me. "Oh really, well we'll have to fix that now won't we" he says before staring to remove my clothing.
