Two New Chapters, Same book.

I was happy that my nephew was born; Gerard will finally know the joy of being a parent. Currently I was lying on the sofa watching the twins play with their blocks in front of the T.V, Frank was in the kitchen making dinner for us four and also something for Gerard and Lynz. With being discharged from the hospital 3 days ago and having a 4 day old baby, they don’t really have time to prepare food for themselves.

“Okay, I got enough pasta here for us, and then plenty for the two of them.” Frank said coming into the living room holding some boxes of food. He looked at the kids and smiled.

“I’m not so sure about leaving you here alone.” He said biting his lip.

“They live 5 minutes away.” I told him as I leaned back against the sofa and rubbed my bump a bit more, the baby wasn’t kicking so much right now. “Just drop the food off, say hi to them, and then the baby, and come home to me.” I smiled like a child and Frank laughed and came over to me and pecked my lips.

“Okay, I’ll be back, please stay on the sofa.” He told me then left.

As soon as I heard his car fade away, I felt a great pain in my lower abdominal, I had only experienced this pain once before but I knew it all too well. I was going into labor. Fuck. I groaned in pain and both my kids stopped what they were doing and looked at me with a confused look. I put on a fake smile to let them know they were okay. I laid back on the sofa and pulled out my phone and called up Frank.

“Hey babe, I’m almost at their house.”

“Skip the introduction and just drop off the food.”

“Why? Is something wrong?”

“I’m pretty sure I’m in labor.” I told him.

“Oh my god I’m on my way home now.” He told me.

“No! We already promised them food, drop it off and then come over here. Last time I was in labor for 14 hours, I think we have some before this one comes out.” I laughed.

“Okay…. Well, I’ll be fast okay?”

“Okay.”

After we hung up I called my mom, while I was in the hospital we would need someone to watch the kids. Normally we would drop them off at Gerard and Lynz’s but they had their own baby to take care of now.

“Hello sweetheart, it’s so late, why are you calling?”

“Mom, we think I’m going into labor, can you watch the twins?” I asked.

“Oh my god! Yes of course! Your father and I will be over soon!” She yelled into the phone then hung up. I couldn’t help but laugh.

Not long later, Frank came running into the room and grabbed my hand,and started to rub the bump.

“Are you okay? How long have you been feeling the contractions?” He asked.

“I only had one like 8 or so minutes ago.”

“Let’s get you to the hospital.” He said and tried to help me up.

“Frank I’m not getting up.” I told him and resisted.

“Why?” He asked looking confused.

“Where are the kids gonna go, this is gonna be a long process, they are going to uncomfortable. I called my mom; she and my father are on their way to watch them. I’ll leave when they’re here, I don’t want to move until then.”

“You are one stubborn fertile.”
