They stay in the park for hours until they decide its getting late and return to their own homes.
when Frank returns Ray is still up.
" Well how'd it go?" he asks eagerly
" honestly Ray it was amazing..... It couldn't have been better we just sat and talked in the park... we watched the sun set and all the fairy lights lit up the place.. it was rather romantic .. we actually remembered to exchange numbers " he jokes " but yeah .... i can't believe we finally found him" He says blushing with a wide grin on his face reminiscing on tonight's events.
" I couldn't be happier for you Frank .. Finally a good man in your life" He says nudging Frank .They decide to go to bed after watching a movie on Netflix when Franks phone buzzes.

Gee-
sleep well Frank ... hope to see you again soon .. glad we finally had the chance to talk again

Frank replies-
yeah me too sleep well Gee.

He puts his phone down and goes to sleep.

The next day Frank has to return to work after his day off so has to get up early but today he has a big spring in his step. He was happy,For the last six months he had been getting more and more down with the search for Gerard but now he had found him and could see where things would go with him, it was clear they were both interested in each other since they had both searched for months. Frank sets off for work knowing it would be a day jam packed with meetings with the new band they had just signed, it was no one big just a small local band but they showed a lot of potential its the type of band Frank preferred to work with helping them kick start their careers in the music world.

While Gerard didn't start work until the following week since he had just been relocated he had some time to get settled in, so he decided to go shopping for food since he got a little distracted last night after running into Frank but at least he knew where everything was when he gave him a little tour of the town. It wasn't long before Gerard had completed his food shopping and started to move around his belongings after he made himself some pancakes.
He forgot how many boxes of things he really had comic books, records, art stuff... the list goes on ... it was never fun being relocated and he always wondered why he kept so much stuff when every time he had to move he had to bring it all with him, but they are all filled with memories .. the records reminded him of all the great times he had with Mikey at gigs and then the rock festival meeting Frank , His comic books reminded him of child hood , all his favourite super heroes and what inspired him to write his own comics that and he was always good at art.... he doodled all the time when he was younger and phis friends always said he would make something out of himself with it. At the time he didn't believe them but look at him now ... a published comic book writer and artist for other peoples comics.
He was proud of himself he had achieved his dream of being an artist... even with his bad past he knew that this new town was a new leaf in his book and nothing but good things were around each corner.

He then decides to text Frank

Gerard waits a little worried about the lack of reply after an hour . He knows frank is busy but he still has doubts that maybe he was a bit full on after they had just reunited yesterday.

hey sorry for the late reply that meeting took so long.. i'm finishing work in 20 minuets i'd love to go on a date with you what time are you thinking?

Gerard is relieved when he feels his phone buzz after he had just finished re arraigning the last of his stuff... he was happy with how his new apartment looked, it was a lot better than his last place., it was in a nice area, had a nice view and everyone in town seemed friendly enough , plus the apartment building wasn't half ran down like his last one so there were no issues with power or water so he was content .

now Gerard was nervous he booked a table at a restaurant in town for just after 7 so they had enough time to get there and get parked, but he now had to find something nice wo wear that didn't look like he was trying so hard. after 45 minuets he decided on a black shirt with the top two buttons undone and black skinny jeans.

Frank was very excited on his way home from work he had a big beaming smile on his face and Ray knew something had happened as soon as he walked into the apartment.
"well aren't you very cheery tonight?" Ray says a little giddy
" well yes i am.... i have a date tonight" Frank says in a proud tone which makes Ray laugh
" ooo look at you " Ray says punching Franks arm.
Frank walks into his room and realises he has an hour until Gerard is supposed to pick him up. He showers and texts Gerard his address so he has enough time to find it. Now the struggle of what to wear... after 30 minuet he's ready he decided on a short sleeved black shirt which he left unbuttoned and put a black and white long sleeved top under it with black skinny jeans.

it's now just after 7pm Frank is waiting for Gerard to pick him up getting a little worried that he was running late he started to doubt if he even wanted to go on the date when there was a sudden knock at the door snapping Frank out of his negative thoughts .. he answers it and there stands Gerard with some black roses, He blushes as he takes the flowers being offered to him
" aww thank you Gee"
" no problem sorry im late it took me a while to pick these out" He admits a little embarrassed
" i love them you made a great choice ... Come in while i put these in a vase" Frank says gesturing for him to enter his home, it was weird for both of them as they had never seen the inside of one another homes before Gerard looked around and seen all the comic books on a book shelf where Frank and Ray shared their collection , posters of different bands and super heroes dotted around and the guitars and amps in the corner of the living room, on the couch was Ray sitting playing on the Xbox that was connected up to their TV.
"hey nice to see you again" Gerard says as he realises Ray is looking at him
" nice to see you to Gerard " hr says waving

Frank then returns from the kitchen with the roses in a vase and sets them on the coffee table in the middle of the living room.
" Aww you bought him flowers how cute" Ray says looking at them
Gerard blushes " y-yeah i did ... i thought it would be a nice gesture considering how long we have waited to go on our first date" He explains .
" i think it's a lovely thing to do wish i had someone to buy me flowers" Ray half jokes he had been single for a long time now after his last girlfriend broke up with him suddenly with no explanation but he wasn't bothered about it anymore he just figured he would meet someone when the time was right.

Frank and Gerard set off on their date getting into Gerard's car and they start driving, it was getting dark now but there were still hints of pink and orange in thew sky from the sun setting on the drive to the restaurant. it didn't take them long to get there and get a seat , it was rather quiet for it being a Saturday but it was better that way they would be able to hear each other talk without having to deal with the background noise of other groups of people. They order their food and start talking while they wait for it to come they also got a side of fries to share Frank got a cheese burger and Gerard got a steak.

" you know its kind of weird i feel like ive known you for years even though we have only seen eachother a copuple of times sice we met" Gerard starts off
" Nah its not weird i feel the same way , like its weird that we had such a connection right away but its kind of reassuring at the same time as being a little scary since ive never had such a strong connection when only just meeting someone" Frank explains reassuring Gerard that its not one sided, as he looks at Gerard their eyes meet from across the table and they just kind of stare into one anothers eyes.
" wow Frank i didn't realise how beautiful your eyes were before" Gerard says lerring his thoughts come out loud
Frank blushes at the comment just as a waitress comes over, after she puts their food down she walks away muttering " urgh faggots" under her breath which made both men a little angry.
" i can't believe she just said that" Gerard says clenching his fist on the table
" yeah i know... being gay is more accepted in society these days, i guess you still get the off homophobic its stupid if you ask me " Frank says putting his hand over Gerard's fist to calm him down.
" it just angers me that we cant even go on a date without getting abuse from people its normal for hetero people why isn't it for us?" He says as a question knowing fine well what the answer was.
They continue their date ignoring the comments from the waitress and they start enjoying themselves more and more they continue to get to know each other more and more they both realise how well they fit together they are similar in personality but not to much that it would clash with each other , they have the same interests and enjoy doing a lot of the same things when they are off work.It couldn't have been a better first date it was defiantly the most comfortable they had both felt in a long time, the date flew by and it was now time to leave the restaurant was now closing they hadn't even realised they had been there for that long so they return to Gerard's car and they drive towards Franks house so he can drop him off, it was a short drive back and they just listened to music content with the company they were in, shortly they arrived at Franks apartment building.
" well thank you very much for this Gee, its the best date ive had even with that snotty waitress" Frank said admittedly as he opened the car door to get out.
Gerard got out as well and walked to where Frank was and pulled him into a passionate kiss, Frank kisses back relaxing into Gerard. They stay like this for a couple of minuets before pulling apart.
" Me too Frank, thanks for actually coming on the date... i couldn't have asked for a better person to share my night with" He says embarrassed.
" I know exactly what you mean, i think we get on like an old coupe" He laughs as the words leave his mouth.
" well in that case we should do it again sometime" Gerard says with confidence.
they talk for a little more before Frank has to leave due to having work the next day he walks up to his apartment building and Gerard watches as he walks away, when he gets half way Gerard whispers to himself " i'm so in love with you but im so scared of telling you " before getting back in his car and heading home
