On the whole drive back home Frank was pretty bummed out.
He couldn't believe he had missed his opportunity to give Gerard his number. How could he be so stupid? But he had Ray to help. They started to come up with a plan to find Gerard.... somehow.

" well everyone is on social media now why don't we start looking when we get back ... even if we can find his brother it would be a start" Ray said enthusiastically keeping his eyes on the road as he drove.
" wait ... yeah thats a great idea.. everyone has Facebook at least" Frank said excitedly.

they finally get home and unpack and start searching on social media with no luck. since they only know Gerard as Gee and only know Mikeys first name there was a lot of results to go through. Frank couldn't get Gerard out of his mind.

Gerards P.O.V

Gerard and Mikey woke up later than most people the next morning. Feeling very happy about the events of the night before he looked around to see if he could find Frank before leaving but most people were leaving and he gave up after an hour and decided to help Mikey with the packing.

" I think Frank has gone... i didn't give him my number" Gerard says sadly.
"oh .. im sorry bro... maybe there is another way to find him?" Mikey says to comfort his brother.
" yeah maybe but we don't use social media... because of what happened with Bert" Gerard looks uncomfortable as he remembers what happened in his last relationship. Bert was his ex-boyfriend who ended up stalking Gerard on social media after he had moved because of his job after the relationship had ended. It wasn't a happy relationship and Gerard hadn't looked for anyone since then as he didn't feel safe after being abused for 3 years with Bert.
" yeah your right.... We will figure something out.... it's nice to see you showing an interest in someone and you seemed really happy with him last night.... i know it's early days and you had just met but he looked like a really nice guy" Mikey says happily as he packs u the last of their things.
" i just hope he feels the same way... i can't believe it didn't cross my mind i was just really enjoying the time we were spending chatting and laughing it was nice to feel a connection ... i mean i think he might feel the same since we kissed" Gerard explains
" wait you didn't tell me that " Mikey says shocked
Gerard blushes remembering what it felt like to kiss Frank " yeah ... it was actually really nice ... i think it could go somewhere with him given the chance to see him again"
"yeah i get that don't worry we can find him some how... do you know where he's from?" Mikey asks
"urmm ... " Gerard thinks about what he and Frank talks about and realises they never mentioned where they were from only the jobs they had. " no ... he said hes a music producer for a company though so i guess we could start there?"
" yeah good idea" Mikey says positively
they load their car and start the drive home. Once they arrive they look online at music labels but there were so many but didn't see a Frank on any they looked at.

a few months pass the search still ongoing when Gerard receives a call getting relocated with the comic book company he works for.
" Great i have to move again" he says to himself he calls Mikey and tells him the news.
It would be 2 months before Gerard had to move making sure he had a place to live near the company office.
This would be the third time he has been relocated since starting .. one was because he needed to move after Bert and once again once he stalked him... things had been quiet for 2 years since he got off social media.. but now he felt like it was getting in the way of him moving on with his life.. he would also have to explain to Frank if he ever saw him again why he isn't on social media and he didn't want to ruin what they had by bringing up his past. He tries to shake the thought it shouldn't ruin anything but it does make finding eachother much harder.

Franks P.O.V

He had been searching for months after his weekend at the Festival with no luck he even looked at publishers for comics. But since he couldn't think of what Gee stood for it made things hard. Frank couldn't forget how he felt after that night with Gerard.
He still had hope that he might find Gerard but it was growing smaller with the more time that passed. He didn't really understand how it was so hard especially with social media bit he figured there was a good reason he didn't have it.. maybe he just didn't like the invasion of privacy or didn't feel like every little thing needed to be shared with all his friends.

It had now been 6 months since the rock festival and Frank had a day off so he decided to keep himself busy. He went on a walk and visited the comicbook store and got some new additions for his collection some aqua man and hulk comics.
It wasn't very often he added to his collection but he had found a new series he liked ... the umbrella academy.. the story and the artwork really appealed to Frank it was a new series compared to the other comics he liked but it didn't bother him it was nice. He thought the authors name was very different Gerard wasn't a very common name. He showed ray the comics one he was home and they sat and discussed them for a little.

another 2 months passed Gerard was all packed and ready to move to his new town. He thought of visiting and seeing what was around but he didn't see the point all his friends and his brother were going to be 2 hours away in the town he was now leaving. So he figured he would spend most of his time alone drawing for his comics.
He put the last of his belongings in his car and said goodbye to Mikey who said he would visit in a couple days once Gerard was settled in and he set off to go to his new house.

Once he arrived he unpacked and decided to get some shopping in so he had food... on his way there he found a comic book store so he decided to go in and have a look ... And to his surprise a familiar voice was talking at the back of the shop about his comic series he walked over and low and behold there he was... Frank the man he had been searching for for six months...
"Frank?" he said trying to contain his excitement .
Frank turned and all he saw was crimson red hair... "Gee?" Frank looked shocked as he moved towards Gerard.
they hug tightly both with big beaming smiles.
"I thought i'd never see you again" Gerard admitted a little embarrassed.
"Same .. i have been looking as weird as that sounds" Frank admitted shyly.
"no not weird at all i looked for you as well... since i don't have social media i can see why it was so hard for us to find eachother.. what a coincidence that my work brought me here" Gerard says tightening his grip on Frank.. at that moment Ray walked into the comic book shop
"Oh MY GOD" was all he could say ... "you found eachother" he said as he got closer to the hugging couple at the back of the shop.
"yeah" they both say giggling and pulling apart.
"well why don't we have a little catch up are you free?" Frank asks Gerard unable to contain his excitement.
" yeah i am ... i was just getting some shopping I've just been relocated here for my company.. by the way good choice in comic" Gerard says as he notices umbrella academy in Franks hand.
"oh yeah i love this series.. not many people know abut it as its kind of new but the artwork and story is amazing" Frank says as he looks at the comic in his hand.
" yeah ... it's kind of my series" Gerard says as he blushes matching the colour of his hair.
"WHAT?..." Frank shouts in disbelief
"yeah well you know i write comics ... thats one of them" Gerard explains
"wow .... so i'm guessing Gee is short for Gerard then" He says giggling a little.
" shit ... yeah ... i forgot i never told you my actual name... everyone just calls me Gee" Gerard says realising Frank didn't actually know his name only his nickname.
"yeah .. well i guess I'll but this and we can get going?" Frank says cautiously
" yeah that sounds great.. Hey maybe you could show me around a little bit if you don't mind?"
" yeah i'd love to"

So they leave the comic book store and ray leaves them to get on with it. Frank shows Gerard around town. All the bars, Diners

"this feels so much like a dream" Frank admits as he leave his head on Gerard's shoulder.
" yeah ... i know... But i'm glad we got to see eachother again... even after 6 months.. you've been very hard to forget" Gerard admitted shyly as he put his arm around Frank
" yeah tell me about it" Frank giggles and snuggles into Gerard's neck.
" I was thinking ... maybe we could start where we left off?" Gerard suggests
" yeah i'd like that" he says pulling out his phone. " here's my number something you should have had a long time ago" He jokes as he gets his number on his screen.Gerard takes out his phone and saves the number under 'Frankie'. And giggles " yeah .. i can't believe we actually forgot to do this"
" worth the wait though" Frank says blushing as he looks up at Gerard.
