Gerard’s POV

I woke up and was alone in bed which made me pout to myself as all I wanted was morning cuddle.
I sighed loudly as I rolled out of bed and pulled on one of Frank’s hoodies and went downstairs.
I just followed the voices and found myself in the kitchen where everyone was laughing about something.
“You’re finally up, I don’t know who is worse out of you and Frankie about getting out of bed.” A woman said as she walked over to me.
“Mamma Gee had a hard night last night, he’s allowed to stay in bed.” Frank said and the woman looked at Frank.
“Also Gee isn’t a morning person like the rest of us and he also needs coffee before anyone speaks to him so back up peeps let Gee have his coffee.” Frank said and the woman moved out the way and I walked towards Frank and stood close to him as he handed me my coffee.
“Thanks for the Warning.” I said quietly to Frank who chuckled.
“You’ll get used to it.” Frank said and I looked at him.
“What do I have to do to get a cuddle these days?” I asked and Frank chuckled as he moved so he could hug me from behind.
“Well you looked cute this morning and I didn’t have the heart to wake you up.” Frank said as he moved back to standing beside me.
“So, I wanted cuddles this morning.” I said and Frank smiled as he kissed the side of my head which made me smile.
“We can have cuddles later I promise.” Frank whispered in my ear and kissed the side of my head again.
“I’m just going to sit outside a minute.” I said and Frank nodded as he let me go and I felt him watch me as I walked outside.

I was sat on this swing chair looking out to this amazing view what Frank’s parents had in their back garden when someone sat next to me and I looked and saw it was Frank’s brother but I didn’t know his name.
“Frankie has never brought a man home before.” Frank’s brother said and I looked at him and Frank’s brother looked at me.
“You’re lucky to have him. Frankie is a very hard man and it takes him ages to trust and he never is with someone for longer than a month. But I’ve seen the way he looks at you and he really loves you.” Frank’s brother said and I looked down.
“I know how lucky I am to have him and I would never dream of my life without him now. I think deep down we are hard men and that it takes us ages to trust. I really love him as well.” I said as I looked at Frank’s brother.
“How do you cope with him being away?” Frank’s brother asked.
“It’s hard to begin with, like waking up without him beside me in bed after having him there is tough and coming home to a really quiet house is horrible. But I understand that Frank loves his job and that compared to his job I’m second best.” I said and Frank’s brother smiled.
“Finally someone understands Frank.” Frank’s brother said and I smiled.
“You have siblings?” Frank’s brother asked.
“I do, but I have nothing to do with my family so it’s better for me to say I haven’t got family.” I said quietly and Frank’s brother nodded.
“I’m guessing you had it tough?” Frank’s brother asked and I looked down and nodded.
“Yeah, But I’m happier now then I ever have been. I have Frank and my best friend is pregnant so my life is looking up right now.” I said as I looked up and Frank’s brother was smiling at me which I returned.
“Look if you’re worried that I don’t love him and that I’m going to get fed up waiting for him and that I’m going to move on to another men as soon as he leaves then that’s not the case. I love Frank with all my heart and I will never get fed up waiting for him, everyday he is away I still wait for that front door to open and for Frank to walk through the door. I respect myself and Frank too much to ever think about cheating on him.” I said and I heard someone clear their throats and I looked up and saw Frank.
“Mich, stop trying to interrogate my boyfriend.” Frank said and Mich chuckled as he stood up and walked over to Frank and pulled him into a hug where he said something to Frank which made Frank smile and Mich walked off leaving me and Frank alone.

Frank came over and sat next to me and got another cigarette and started to smoke it which made me frown at him.
“You don’t smoke, in fact you hate the idea of smoking and bugged me so much that you got me to quit.” I said and Frank chuckled as he blew some smoke out of his nose as I just stared at him.
“I smoke when I’m here because it’s too fucking stressful and this house is literally drama. I didn’t tell you to quit, you just quit because you was ready.” Frank said and I just rolled my eyes as I took the cigarette off Frank and started to smoke it.
“I quit because I thought you didn’t like smoking. Bitch you’ve been lying to me.” I said and Frank chuckled.
“Well you can smoke if you want, just don’t kill yourself whilst doing it.” Frank said quietly and I smiled as Frank lent forward and kissed me which I returned.
“You two are going to catch yourself a cold if you stay out here for too long.” A woman I believe to be Frank nan said.
“Mamma won’t allow smoking in the house Nonna and you know this and also I needed to make sure that Mich wasn’t killing Gee.” Frank said and the woman looked at me and smiled as I stood up followed by Frank.
“You look after my Frankie.” The woman said and I nodded.
“He does Nonna don’t worry.” Frank said.
“Don’t trust him with the crazy hair Colour.” The woman said and Frank chuckled.
“Gee likes the bright Colours so don’t be hating the hair.” Frank said and the woman just walked off and I looked at Frank.
“I’m the one who has to see your pretty face everyday and I love seeing your pretty face looking how it is and the bright red hair.” Frank said which made me smile and Frank kissed me as he caught hold of my ha d and we went inside.

We got home and Frank was busy making us something to eat while I was busy sorting the washing out in our room.
I opened the wardrobe and sighed loudly to myself when I saw Frank’s uniform and I got it down the the hanger and started to fold it and put it in a pile ready for when Frank leaves in less than 24 hours.
Despite the fact I never really like Frank’s uniform because of The way I thought about it of taking Frank away for a long periods of time, I couldn’t help but smile proudly at the fact Frank was one of the thousands of men and women protecting this country.
“Babe the dinner is nearly ready.” Frank said as he walked into the bedroom.
“Okay, I’ll be there in a second.” I said quietly as I sat on the bed and looked at the uniform pile for Frank.
“I’m just about to dish up okay. Don’t stay in here too long thinking about this.” Frank said as he walked out the room and I looked out the door and sighed loudly again and I got off the bed and walked to the kitchen.

After we had eaten we went to the sitting room to watch a film and just see where the mood will take us.
We was sat in silence enjoying whatever time we had left of each others company and watching this really cheesy film when I looked at Frank and smiled as I started to mess with his hair which made Frank look at me and frown.
“I’m proud of you.” I said quietly and Frank smiled at me but I could see something was going through his mind.
“Talk to me, I know I’m like the weak one out of us two but I have your back as well. We are a team.” I said and Frank smiled as he traced his finger over my face which made me smile sadly at him.
“I never thought I would find someone who makes it so hard for me to leave when I have to go. Never thought I would find someone who I miss so much while I’m away and always being on my mind. I never thought I would get any of what we’ve got, and it scares me when I go away that something might happen and you have two people in uniform telling you that I’ve been killed in action.” Frank said quietly and I moved so I could get off the sofa and Frank looked at me confused.
I offered Frank my hand which he took and I gently pulled him off the sofa.
“Don’t be scared, you love your job and I know how much your love your job. I also know you love me as well. I know what I have gotten myself into about being part of your life. I know that there’s a chance you might not come home and yes that scares the living shit out of me but I know what I have gotten myself into in this relationship and I would never want to give this up. I love you so much but I know you love your job more.” I said softly and Frank smiled as he kissed me which I returned.

“I love you too.” Frank whispered as he kissed me again but it was a bit harder than before which made me smile as Frank pulled me to the bedroom.
