Never been better

Frank's POV

Gerard was now in his last month of being pregnant and I was finally getting round to showing our new home to him.
"You know I'm meant to be taking things easy. I'm literally like a time bomb on when I go into labour." Gerard said and looked at me.
"Yeah but then when you think about it, the sooner she's here the sooner we can start being a proper family." I said and Gerard smiled.
"And you don't have to worry about her using your bladder as a pillow, sleepless nights. You know." I said and Gerard chuckled.
"That is true but we'll have a baby keeping us up all night. But I'm hoping she's going to be a good baby like Seth I used to be able to put him down at 11 and he wouldn't wake up for his next feed until 3 or 4 in the morning." Gerard said and ran his hand over the bump.
"Shell we go and see our new home?" I asked and Gerard broke out into a huge grin and nodded.
"Yes! I can't wait to see it." Gerard said and he pulled a face in discomfort.
"You okay?" I asked seriously.
"Yeah I'm fine, she just kicked really hard. But she's been do that a lot the last couple of days, it's nothing serious." Gerard said and grabbed hold of my hand and we went off to see the hand.

"So this will be Seth room." I said and opened the door and we walked inside.
"My god Frank he's going to love it." Gerard said and looked round.
Since Seth liked batman his room was pretty a batman design.
"I don't even know what to say. It's perfect for him. Thank you so much Frank." Gerard said and walked over and kissed me hard and he looked back over at the room.
"Every brother is a superhero." Gerard said and I looked at this canvas on on of the walls.
"I thought it would be a little reminder for him that he's got to be a big boy now." I said and Gerard smiled.
"He's really going to love this Frank, and the little tent in the corner, think I could hide in that when it gets too much." Gerard said and I couldn't help but chuckle.
"I thought things get a bit much for him with the baby then he can come and hide in his room and just have some me time." I said and Gerard smiled as he carried on looking round.
"Want to see Rella's room?" I asked and Gerard nodded and I caught hold of his hand and took him to Rella's room.
"It's not much, but we don't really know what she likes yet, so it's just some basic really." I said and Gerard looked at me and smiled.
"It's perfect Frank. Honestly I never thought in a million years that I would be so happy about the home I'm living in. This apartment is perfect for the kids." Gerard said and I looked down.
"Babe, I think you pissed yourself." I said trying not to sound blunt but it did sound really blunt.
"Um, I haven't pissed myself Frank." Gerard said and I looked at him confused.
"So yeah my waters have broken." Gerard said.
"So what do we do?" I asked and Gerard rolled his eyes.
"Wait for contractions dumbo, haven't actually read any of them books I gave you?" Gerard said and I looked down and Gerard chuckled.
"Good thing one of us knows what we're doing." Gerard said quietly and kissed me which I returned.


It was the middle of the night when I was woken up by Gerard whimpering and him walking round the room. I rolled over and turned the light on and looked at Gerard.
"What's the matter babe?" I asked sleepily.
"I think the baby is coming." Gerard said and he hissed loudly.
"Fuck." Gerard said and he carried on walking round the room.
"We need to go to the hospital." I said and got out of bed and got dressed.
"Think that's a good idea." Gerard said and he walked out the room.
I followed him and saw he was just checking on Seth.
"Babe we have to go." I whispered and Gerard nodded and we went to the hospital.

"Do you think I could get high of this gas and air stuff?" I asked and gerard looked at me.
"Knock yourself out if you want to try it." Gerard said but he didn't sound impressed so I didn't.
"Christ just get this child out of me." Gerard said through gritted teeth as he lent against the bed and I moved and rubbed his back.
"It won't be long until she's here though." I said and the door opened and a nurse walked in.
"Okay Gerard you ready to meet your baby?" The nurse asked and Gerard nodded.
"You sure you don't want me in there with you because I can be if you want me to be." I said and moved some hair from his eyes.
"I don't want you fainting on me, I'll be fine." Gerard said and I kissed him which he returned.
"Okay, I'll see you on the other side." I said quietly and kissed his forehead and watched him being rolled away.

An hour later I was pacing up and down the corridor when a nurse came out and walked over to me.
"Is my partner and our baby okay?" I asked and the nurse smiled.
"Want to meet your little girl?" The nurse asked and I nodded and I followed her to a room where Gerard was sat up in bed holding the baby.
"I'll leave you two be. I'll be back in a hour with a bottle." The nurse said and I nodded not being able to take my eyes of Gerard.
"Get over here and meet your daughter." Gerard chuckled and I walked over and Gerard shuffled over on the bed and I sat next to him.
"Is she real?" I asked and put my finger next to Rella's and she caught hold of it.
"Yeah, she's real Frank. There's no backing out now." Gerard said and I looked at him and just kissed him.
"Want to hold her?" Gerard asked and I nodded.
Gerard shifted Rella around which woke her up and she looked round the room.
"Support her head." Gerard said softly as he place her in my arms and I just couldn't take my eyes off her.
"Did we actually make this?" I asked and moved some of her hair from her face and kissed her forehead.
"Yeah we made her." Gerard said and he moved closer to me and rested his head on my shoulder.
"Do you think Seth will get jealous of her?" I asked.
"I don't know, he's not really the jealous type but he might do. We just need to make sure we give him the same amount of attention as we're going to give her." Gerard said and he yawned.
"Go and have a nap, I've got this. I think anyway." I said and Gerard chuckled.
"The main thing is that you don't drop her." Gerard said and I looked at him.
"I'm clumsy, but I'm not that clumsy." I said and Gerard chuckled and I kissed him softly as I quietly got off the bed so Gerard could lie down and I sat in the chair.
I looked up and I saw Gerard had fallen asleep and I smiled and put my attention back on Rella.
"Hey princess, it's your papa here. Now you going to be a good baby and let me, daddy and your brother sleep at night." I said and Rella cooed a little which made me smile.
"I promise you I'm going to look after and protect all of you guys. I love all three of you more than anything in the world. I will do anything I can to keep you safe from harm." I whispered and kissed her forehead.
I put Rella in this plastic box thing the hospital has and I made sure she was okay and was close to the bed and I walked round the bed and climbed on the bed and cuddled into Gerard's back and fell asleep.
