It all started with a Hello

Frank's POV

My mom just stared at Meg in shock, until she spoke. "I-I'm a grandma?" She asked quietly. We all nodded our heads. A huge smile cracked on her face and tears started rolling down from her eyes. "Oh my god, I'm a grandmother!" She yelled and ran up to the three of us, bringing us all into a big hug.

I chuckle. "It's great to see you are so happy mom, we have to get to school though. We just wanted to introduce you two." I say. Gee chuckles as well.

"Oh, okay. Come back later. I'd like to actually meet my granddaughter!" She exclaims. We chuckle and wave goodbye before getting into the car and leaving to go back to work.

We arrive perfectly on time, doesn't help that Gee and I used a bit of our powers to go faster and unnoticed. Still though! Meg left to go to her first period and we left to go teach. We get into class just before students.

The bell rings, signalling the start of first period. Both Gee and I walk to the front of class and wait for kids to pay attention. Gee clears his throat and smiles.

"Hello kids! You are getting two new teachers today. Well, kind of." He says with a smile. We both turn to the boards and write our new names down. He writes down Mr. G. Way-Iero and I write down Mr. F. Way-Iero. We both turn back to the class. "We are your new teachers. My name is Mr. Gerard Way-Iero." He says and looks to me.

"And my name is Mr. Frank Way-Iero." I say with a smile. The kids stare at us, in complete shock. It's nice to see them this quiet. I hear Gee silently chuckling to himself.

"Wait. So you two are married?" A kid questions. Gee and I raise up our hands to show the wedding rings.

"Yes we are. We just got the confirmation in on our legal last name change. We've been married for a few days." Gerard says with a smile. I smile at him and we both bring our hands down. We didn't really plan anything for today, knowing that there was going to be a lot of questions.

"How long have you been together?" Another student asks. We've both been teaching these kids for two years so they met me when I started teaching here.

"Since when I started working here. So about two years. We aren't just husbands though, we are also best friends." I say. Hands start popping up to ask us questions about our relationship.

We both start pointing to kids. "Do you have a kid?" They ask. We both smile widely, thinking of Meg.

"We do. We have a kid who goes to this school. You guys will have to figure out who it is. We will give you one hint though. It is a girl." Gee says. I wonder how long it will take them?

It's almost the end of the period and there is one question left. "Can you guys kiss for us?" The last kid asks. I look to Gee and he smiles at me. He puts his hands on my hips and I put mine behind his neck. We both lean in and give each other a sweet kiss. We hear the whole class aww. We pull away and smile. The bell rings for class to be dismissed.

Second period was all the same. When third period came it was a nice break. Gee and I are just sitting there and cuddling when we hear a knock at the door. I get up and go and answer. To my shock, it's an old student.

"Lindsay? Hello, come in. What brings you here?" I ask and invite her in. She sits at a student desk and smiles shyly at us.

"Hello Mr. Iero, hello Mr. Way. I'm studying art and music in college. They wanted me to come observe a teacher or two for about two weeks. Do you both mind if sit in? By the way, I'm sorry for all the flirting I did in class Mr. Way. It was rude of me to flirt even after you told me you were in a relationship." She says. Gee and I both chuckle.

"It's all fine Lindsey. Of course you can sit in. Oh, it's not Mr. Way or Mr. Iero anymore either. You can call us by our first names. Let us reintroduce ourselves. I'm Gerard Way-Iero and this is my husband Frank Way-Iero." He says with a smile as I cuddle with him again. Her jaw drops.

"So, I was flirting with you infront of your boyfriend? I'm sorry. So my friend was right when she saw you two holding hands under the desks?" She asks. Gee and I both turn a bright red.

"Yeah, I laughed when I saw Gee's reaction with you. I mean, you kind of were flirting with a gay man. I thought our hand holding was very secretive. Guess not." I say with a laugh. Gee laughs too.

"Don't worry about the whole flirting thing. It gave me a good laugh when Frankie was teasing me about it. That's all behind us. So, what's new with you?" Gee asks.

"Not much. My mom adopted another girl. She goes to this school. I got myself a girlfriend. I know, ironic for the girl that was flirting with almost every guy. My sister got a girlfriend. My mom really doesn't like that we are both part of the LGBTQ community. We both started listening to this band called My Chemical Romance. My sister said her girlfriend is the daughter to two of the members. She also said that she met a bunch of vampires. I don't really believe that last part but, you know. Say what you want to say." She said. Gee and I chuckle.

"By any chance is your sister Jamia Nestor?" I ask. She nods with a confused look. Gee and I burst into laughter. "Our daughter is your sister's girlfriend. Your sister did get to see our band perform. Gee is our singer and I'm one of the guitarists." I say. I look to Gee and he gives me the okay on the vampire talk. "Your sister did also meet vampires. They are real. Don't run off. We'll get you to meet a few." I say with a smile.

"Okay? I won't run off." She says and waits. Gee and I both stand up. He slings his arm around my shoulders.

"Okay, so remember Frankie and my costumes that we used on Halloween? Yeah, those weren't costumes. We didn't slur on our speech when we had the fangs, nobody could possibly last that long with contacts that size, our wings fluttered. We are surprised that people didn't think otherwise." Gee says. We both transform and smile. She stares at us in horror.

"No need to be scared. You remember Brendon, Pete, Patrick and Bob? They knew about us being vampires since I was turned into a vampire. We go to blood banks to get blood. You probably know more vampires than you think. Me and Gerard, Mikey from the record shop and his fiancé Ray, Dan and Phil. Our kind isn't as scary as you think. We have tones of human friends and we are high school teachers." I say. Just then Meg, Jamia, Dan and Phil walk into the room.

"Hey dads. Hey Lindsay." Meg says, not really caring we are in vampire form. Dan and Phil smile and transform as well.

"You guys just coming in early? Oh, and please don't tell any more people about the vampire thing. People kind of freak out. I say slightly pointing to Lindsay.

"Oh, ya. Sorry. At least it wasn't what your brother said." Jamia says with a laugh. Gee and I both snort and revert back to human form.

Well, last period should be interesting.
