It all started with a Hello

Chapter Sixteen

Frank's POV:

Gee and I have been working together for two years now. It's been the best two years of my life. I moved in with him and the relationship has never gone sour. If we have a disagreement then we talk things out. Our friends graduated this year and Bob joined our band. He's the only human in the band. Ryan and Brendon both moved into my old house with Pete and Patrick. The board liked Gee and I working together in the classroom so that's how it stayed. Both of us look like we haven't aged a day which we haven't. Life has been going good. I can even use my full powers.

"Frankie baby. It's time to go out with the boys. We're going somewhere special." My beautiful boyfriend says to me. He blindfoldes me and leads me somewhere. I hear tones of doors opening and closing. We stop. "We're here. The boys are here too." He says and unblindfolds me. We are standing in our classroom. The boys are sitting in the desks and staring at us with smiles. I look from them to Gee.

"What's going on? Why are we at the school?" I ask and look at my Gerard. He's wearing the same outfit he wore when he met me. He smiles and looks at me.

"Hello." Is all he says. I give him a confused look.

"Hello?" I say back but more as a question. He looks at our friends.

"It all started with a hello. From the first time we met..." he says and pauses. He gets down on one knee and pulls out a small box. "And now when I ask him to be my husband. So Frankie. The love of my life and my mate, will you do the honours and be mine forever?" He asks. I feel tears streaming down my face. Not tears of sadness but tears of joy.

"YES! Oh my god Gee! Of course I'll be yours forever!" I scream. He smiles and slides a black and red engagement ring on my finger. I jump into his arms and he turns to our friends.

"You are all invited to our wedding. I'm proud to say that my beautiful boyfriend is no longer my boyfriend. He is now my beautiful fiancé." He says and I kiss him. They all cheer and we all sit together.

"Let's get an idea of what you both want for your wedding." Mikey says. Gee kisses me again and pulls out his laptop.

"I was thinking. Frankie and I are similar in our styles and we both like a lot of the same things. What if we had a wedding where we could dress up. Instead of it being fancy we could have costumes. Bring in bands. Maybe even play a few songs ourselves. Have a little fun." He says and I quickly agree because that sounds like my dream wedding.

"Should we do it in a cemetery? Make it ironic for the fact that we can't die?" I ask and everyone agrees. This is going to be the best wedding ever. We all soon leave and Gee and I go back home. My beautiful fiancé. "Gee, can we go see my mom?" I ask.

"Of course Frankie. You want to go now? It's only 6. Where does she live?" He asks. I smile. We jump into my car and I drive the half hour drive to her house. We walk up to the door and I nock.

"Hello? Who's there? I can't get to the door at the moment. Give me a minute!" I hear her say. I signal Gee to be quiet and we teleport in. I stand in her doorway with Gee by my side. I wait for her to turn around. When she turns around and screams. "Fuck Frankie! You scared me! This must be your boyfriend? Hello I'm Linda!" She says and gives me a hug.

"Hey mom! Sorry for scaring you. This is my work partner. He isn't my boyfriend." I say to her and wait for Gee to continue on in which he does.

"I'm Gerard. I may not be his boyfriend but I am his fiancé." He says and she looks at us wide eyed than pulls the both of us into a death hug.

"I guess you can call me mom then Gerard! Welcome to the family! Oh my god, my son is getting married! At 24. Congratulations to the both of you. You both don't look a day under 22!" She says and we both laugh. She doesn't understand but she's laughing anyways.

"I wanted to introduce you to the love of my life before I married him. I know he's perfect." I say and he holds onto my hand.

"If my Frankie likes you then you must be a good man. Will I get to meet your parents at the wedding? And Frankie, I'm not kidding it looks like you haven't aged a day since I last saw you. How'd you do it?" She asks. Gee clutches my hand tightly. I know his parents are a touchy subject.

"I'm sorry but you won't meet my parents, they'll be there just not really. We are having our wedding at a cemetery. My parents died when I was just 18. They weren't the nicest but I'm still here." He says and I kiss his hand softly. He smiles down to me.

"Aww, I'm sorry. You are welcomed into our small family Gerard." She says and we all sit down.

"About that aging thing. It's actually kind of ironic. Gee, how do we tell her? Whats the easiest way?" I ask. He ponders for a second.

"Not the way I told you or the way we told our friends. There is no easy way. Just however way you want to." He says and I shrug. My mom gives us confused looks.

"So mom, when I first met Gee things were strange. I felt an attraction like I've never felt before. We quickly became boyfriends. One day I woke up on the couch to him and his brother fighting. I looked up to see glows around them. I thought I was imagining things but believe me I wasn't." I say and both Gee and I start to glow. She doesn't seem to notice though. "I looked at his eyes and they were different." I say and our eyes shift. She still doesn't notice. "He opened his mouth to speak and that's when really noticed. My boyfriend is different." I say and both of our fangs slip out. She still doesn't notice. I smile slightly. "I love him all the same. When he told me he was different, when he told me I am his mate. When he told me he gained control of himself just by being around me. Yet I was illegal for him because of what I used to be. So I made the transition. Now we can live forever together." I say. I can't believe she didn't even notice the changes.

"How were you illegal?" She asks. Gee lets out a light laugh. I laugh a bit too.

"Mom, you are quite oblivious. I was illegal because I was human. Mom take a good hard look at him and I." I say. She gives me a confused look then she notices.

"Oh, so that's how you got in so quietly and how you haven't aged." She says without even panicking.

"I'm guessing you've seen vampires before by the way you are acting?" Gee asks. She laughs.

"Not in real life until now but I do heal the wounds that vampires make on humans. I work on the estranged injuries part of the hospital where people claim to be attacked by vampires. Never anything else. Just vampires." She says like no big deal. I can't hold back a laugh.

"There are only five vampires in this town. Four of us heal whoever we eat from. One kills and leaves marks on his victims. His name is Tristen. We've been hunting him down so we can keep the people safe. My brother, his boyfriend, Frankie and I have never drained anyone." Gee says and we both revert back. My mom smiles at us. We continue talking about it for a while. My mom is strange. I can't wait for the wedding!

@Gee'sCLUELESSgirl!
Thanks for the feedback! I do have to work on the editing. It is still very rough. I am coming back after a day or two to see if it makes sense.

Interesting start. I think you need to be careful and edit your chapters more, for instance, I don't think this sentence was what you meant...

~I move out of Brad and look out my window.~

...it would've been funny if you DID mean that, but no. There were a few other mistakes in there, but that's the one that stood out to me.

i really do like this start though, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.
