Safe me from myself.

Frank's POV

I was woken up by Gerard tossing and turning and then all of a sudden he sat up and was looking round the place.
"Babe you okay?" I asked and sat up as well and turned his bedside lamp on which made us both flinch away.
"Yeah, just a nightmare." Gerard said and looked at me.
"As in a normal nightmare of a PTSD nightmare?" I asked carefully.
Gerard looked away from me.
"Is it a PTSD nightmare?" I asked quietly and Gerard nodded.
"Gee." I whispered and pulled him to my side.
"Is it getting bad?" I asked and Gerard nodded.
"Feel like I can't leave the house at the moment. I can't trust anyone, I keep on having nightmares. Keep on hearing them laugh at me saying things about me." Gerard said but by the end of it he was crying.
"Baby, it's okay. I'm here and I am going to protect you." I said and made Gerard look at me and wipe his tears away.
"Everyone leaves me. My mum left me, my ex boyfriend left me after torturing me. Everyone who is close to me leaves." He sobbed.
"But I'm not like everyone else. I'm not going to leave you." I said and pecked him on the lips.
Gerard smiled and his dad walked in out of habit.
"You boys okay?" He asked and Gerard nodded.
"I'm okay dad." Gerard sniffed.
"Okay, I'll see you tommorow." Simon said and walked out the roo shutting the door behind him.
"Lie down and try to go back to sleep." I said but it came out as a big yawn.
Gerard lead down and I did the same and Gerard turned the light out and he cuddled into my side.
I made sure Gerard was asleep before I could fall asleep myself.
