Only One Way

When we finally left Mikey's moms mom house it it was dark out and we were both exhausted. Mikey went straight to my room and collapsed on my bed. Him sleeping in my room was kinda becoming the norm.

I laid down next to him and we jus l lyed there in silence for a few minutes. I felt Mikey's hand climb on top of mine and I moved to hold it. "How would you feel spending the whole day with me tomorrow?" Mikey asked and I turned to face him. "I would love it" I said then kissed his nose, then his lips.

He smiled and I moved to get ready for bed and he did the same. It didn't take either of us long and soon we were back in bed, snuggled up against each other. He kissed the top of my head and soon his breathing started to even. I closed my eyes and dreamt of Gerard while I was in Mikey's arms.

"Time to wake up honey" Mikey cooed, stroking my face with his thumb nothing like how Gerard would wake me up, that fucker would probably stick his cock in my mouth or something. "Mm five more minutes" I said and rolled over.

"No, we have to get going baby" I got up and started to get ready for the day. Mikey led me to the car and started to drive. "I'm taking you out for breakfast" he said which I was glad to hear because I was starving.

he pulled into this little diner Whose name I never heard of before. We got inside and sat ourselves because that's what the sign said to do. "Mom used to take me and Gerard here when we were kids." Mikey said and I just nodded soon the waitress came over and took our drink orders, and after asking, our food orders.

she looked really familiar but I couldn't place my finger on it until Mikey talked to her. "Your usual Mikes?" Sje asked "you know me too well Kristin." She was the girl at the coffee shop when I met Mikey. She winked at Mikey before she left and he blushed a bit and smiled.

"we grew up together" he explained "she's like, my best friend." I smiled and nodded again. And then my stomach made this unearthly deep growl, the few people sat down in the café looked over at us, Mikey laughed "a bit hungry aren't you?" "Oh my god yes" and I whimpered a bit. Mikey reached over and took my hand.

"It's okay, they cook em faster for the regulars" then he winked and I smiled. We got talking about some of his memories here, he said that one time Gerard threw a big hissy fit and threw all his food onto his mother. I laughed because it sounded like something Gerard would do.

Soon Kristin brought our food over and I started piling as much of the pancakes I ordered as I could into my mouth, while Mikey laughed. "This is so fucking good." I said but since my mouth was full kt came out more like fis if so fooken gud and Mikey laughed even harder. "Slow down, I don't want you choking."

It took me ten minutes to eat, but Mikey wasn't finished yet. I decided to ask him something that's been on my mind since yesterday. "Why doesn't your mom like Gerard?" Mikey swallowed then answered, "he's always been the rebellious one, he never liked authority so he got in frequent fights with ma. One time he walked out of the house and we didn't see him for a week." "Really?" I asked, although I believed every word .

"Yeah, but she loved him even so, at least until the big fight." "What happened?" "Well they we arguing over this stupid thing that I don't even remember but Gerard ended up smashing this little angel figurine that mom's dad gave to her right before he killed himself." "Oh my god," I gasped "yeah, of course Gerard was immediately sorry and promised to fix it, he was even crying. But mom kicked him out of the house and they haven't seen each other since."

"That's..shit, Mikey that's terrible" "yeah, it really sucks, Gerard still loves her but she won't even talk to him." " Oh my god" I said again "yeah, but hey! Today's sposed to be fun, come on I'm gonna take you to my favorite place. He paid the bill and smiled at Kristin before leading me out of the diner, holding my hand.

"This is gonna be fun." He said
