Only One Way

He hopped into the car and I did the same, as he started the engine he said, "you're gonna love this" and I felt my heart pang in my chest as I remembered Gerard telling me the very same thing. god I miss him so much. I thought and blinked my eyes as fast and naturally as I could to discourage more tears from forming.

Mikey didn't seem to notice, he had a big grin on his face and was humming happily along to the songs on the radio. "you must be really excited" I said and laughed trying to stay happy. "I am, I've been wanting to show you for awile but you've always been so busy.

with Gerard, I thought and bit my lip for a second before speaking. "I know, I'm sorry we haven't been hanging out more." "It's okay,i know how stressful getting your store robbed and stuff must be."

He had that trusting smile plastered on his face and guilt ran through my body, "I promise I'll make more time for you"I said and forced a smile onto my face, he reached for my hand and I let him take it. We sat in silence for a few minutes before he let out a high pitched screech that scared the living hell out of me.

"Shit sorry Frank, but we're here!" I looked up through the window and there was a tall building with alot of cars and people. Nothing at all like Gerard's favorite place. I thought but let Mikey help me out of the car after he'd found a parking space. He grabbed my hand and started running towards the door, almost getting us hit by a car. Both of us were breathing hard when we got inside, but Mikey took me up to the top floor.

"we're here!" He said when we got up to the roofless top floor. "Wow,i can see everything. This is beautiful" "that's why I love it,"he said, looking out at all the buildings "I love watching people, not in a stalkerish way but I like trying to figure out what they're doing and who they're trying to be." I nodded and looked down At all the people, trying to see them like Mikey does, well until I caught him staring at me.

"You're so beautiful Frank" I scooted closer to him and he leaned in to kiss me, and I let him. I kissed harder and bit his lip, grabng his neck to bring him closer to me, the kisses now more passionate and longing. "Hey lovebirds, Get a room!"

We broke away, forgot there were other people up here. Mikey smiled and took me by the hand, "let's go get a room" he whispered into my ear and started walking, all the while holding my hand.

"Okay" I answered, and let him lead me to a supply closet.
