We Shouldn't Be Here

Frank's pov


"He hasn't ate anything all week..." Donna whispered to Mikey who nodded. I sat in the chair facing the window, the mountain in the distance, almost fading away into the sky. My heart felt like it stopped beating, I felt dead, empty, cold. It's been two months since they took Gerard, two months without my mate. I cried myself to sleep every night thinking about what Gerard was going through, what horrible things that they are doing to him. "Hey, Frank?" Mikey said softly, placing his warm hand on my shoulder. I didn't move or respond to him just like every time. "You need to eat." He said and pulled the chair back a little so I was facing him. I looked blankly at him, sometimes he looked like Gerard, the hair, the nose, even his smell reminded me of Gerard. "Come on, Frank, let's go get something to eat." Mikey said and pulled me up, I let my body go with the flow, letting him guide me to the kitchen were some people were at the table. I could feel their eyes on me as we walked in. I sat down at the breakfast bar and Mikey set a plate of food in front of me. I looked down at it, feeling my stomach lurch at how hungry I actually am. I couldn't bring myself to eat though, I lost the will to live now Gerard isn't here with me. "Eat." Donna said softly, pushing the plate closer to me. "Please, Frank." She said, I looked up at her as she nodded encouragingly. "No..." I mumbled and went to stand up, Mikey stopped me and pulled me back down. "You need to gain your strength back, we may have found where Gerard is." He said making my head snap up. "What did you just say?" I said through gritted teeth, I need to make sure I heard him right. "We think we found Gerard." He said making my heart leap, that's the first time that I felt my heart since he was taken. "Why didn't you tell me sooner!" I yelled making everyone in the room tense. "We don't know for sure if Gerard is there." Mikey said calmly, the fire in my soul started up again making me bolt out of my chair and ran to my room.

"Frank?" Mikey said from the hallway and slowly opened my door. After he told me that they might have found Gerard I got all of the stuff that I would need to get him back. Guns, knives, everything that you could think of. I looked up as Mikey walked in with a tray loaded with food. I got up after doing some push ups and started doing some pull ups. "Eat up, we'll be leaving in two days." Mikey said before leaving, I hopped down and ate everything before going back to training. I've been training every waking second that I had and I ate as much as I could to make up for not eating that much. I built back my muscle and then some in the sort amount of time. Now I just needed to wait even if it felt like it was tearing me up inside. I could do it for Gerard, my mate, I would do anything for him.

"There it is." Mikey whispered so we could all hear, every part of me was on fire with adrenaline. We were about two miles from where we think Gerard is, I could feel that he was there, waiting for me to come get him. "There will be securely cameras everywhere so we have to stay low. Don't draw any attenchion to yourself. If you don't Gerard you call us and we all meet back here. If this spot is compromised we all go back to the hideout. Got it?" Mikey said, we all nod and start to head out. We've been through the plan so many times that I could do it in my sleep. I headed away from were everyone was heading. I had my own path, across the field to the small park that was there. From what our scouts told us this place was like a town made up of the government and they keep wolves there to do research on them. None of our scouts know what else happens here but I can only imagine the worst. When I finally made it to the park I was in the clear, no one saw me and I was hidden in the tree line. Slinking in the shadows I came to the path that led to the main road. When I got to the end of my cover I stopped and took in everything. Security cameras were everywhere but well hide, the men drinking coffee at the dinner were all wearing ear pieces and they all had hidden guns. This place actually looked like a town, I couldn't smell any wolves but I know that they are here.

Loud gun shots made me jump, my whole body stiffened when I heard them. Then I heard screaming and people running, I looked out from behind the bins in the alleyway. People were running past, the smell of fear filled the air as the gun shots kept firing. "Make your way down the the town hall in an orderly fashion. The situation is under control." The intercoms boomed, I took a deep breath and ran into the people running. Acting like I was in a panic as well, I followed the group until we made it to the town hall. The building was well armed and secure from what I could tell. The security led us to seat and we all sat facing a well lit stage. Okay, now I just have to find Mikey and Andy, they are the only ones that I know can find Gerard. "Frank?" My earpiece said, it was Mikey. "In town hall." I said before getting an okay in response. "Frank." Andy said, popping up next to me, I nodded and got up, following him to the bathroom were we could be alone. "They found Gerard, now we have to get out, Blake was shot, I don't know who else but we need to go right now." He said in a hurry. "How the fuck are we getting out of here?" I asked and looked around, there was no windows and the doors leading out of the building were being guarded. "Only one way to find out." Andy smirked and took out some of Mikey's home made bomds. "I just need to set the fuses for a shorter amount of time and I need to make the explosion smaller so it won't kill us." He said and got to work by cutting into the boxes. "Sir, is everything okay in there?" A male voice said from the hallway. "Yeah, just a moment!" I called back and looked at Andy who was going as fast as he could. About five minutes later the man came back. "Sir, we need you to come out!" Another male yelled from the other side of the door. "Hold on, I'll be done in a minute!" I called, I could small about ten males outside, all human, all armed and pissed. "Hurry up, Andy." I whispered as he got into the second bomb. "If you don't come out in one minute we will use force!" The male yelled making me tence up. "Here." Andy said and handed me my semi-automatic. "We are coming in!" The male yelled before I heard them hit the door. Taking a deep breath I put my finger on the trigger and shot. Fifty rounds shot in slow motion as the bullets went through the door and into the guards. "Fuck, get down!" Andy yelled as the bomb was set and exploded, knocking me back against the wall. "Frank!" His voice sounded distant as he pulled me up and started to run. My ears were ringing and my nose was bleeding as well as a cut on my arm from a shard of glass. None of that matters because we got Gerard and we're going to be together again.
