From the earth to the morgue

I know what I need to do.

It's been three days. Three days since Frank left. I wake up crying every night. I've been sitting by the door each day waiting for the cops to barge in at any second. I'm starting to think Frank didn't call the police at all. He may think I'm a monster, but he just might still love me enough not to have me put away.

I've been watching the news nonstop and if I'm honest it's been so boring lately.

Suddenly 'Breaking news!' flashed across my tv in bright red letters. Detective Toro appeared at the stand once more.

"There has been another disappearance." Detective Toro sighed out. He seemed exhausted. The dark circles under his eyes agreed with my statement. "The missing person is a Caucasian male in his late thirties possibly early forties. He has shaggy, medium length, brown hair, green eyes, and he is fairly thin. He was last seen at the Rueden bar down forty-fifth. If you have any information on the whereabouts of someone who fits this description please either contact me or the police station immediately."

Two numbers appeared at the bottom of the screen as a small man whispered into Toro's ear. Detective Toro looked around before setting his gaze on a thin blonde woman he then stepped down from the stand allowing the woman, whom I assumed was the man's wife, to step up. She had a small child balanced on her hip as she looked over the small crowd. The woman sniffled softly before speaking into the mic,

"Hello. My name is Lucy Hayward. My husband is Aaron Hayward. My husband has been gone for about four days now." She took a small pause, We are used to him being gone for days at a time for his, uh, business trips, but never this long. Aaron was wearing a plain, green t-shirt and black jeans." the woman took in a sharp breath, "He is a husband and father. We need him home. And, uh, if. If you took him like you took those other people, please bring him back home. We won't be angry. Just," She exchanged an uncertain look with one of the detectives, "Just grateful. Please. Please bring him home." It wasn't long before her soft sniffles became heavy sobs, " Bring my husband home please, you sick son of a bitch!! He has a daughter god damn it! How could you be so cynical?!" She shouted into the mic before officers slowly dragged her away from the stand.

As Detective Toro got back on the stand Lucy handed him a small piece of paper. Toro stared down at the paper for a little while before speaking into the mic,

"We have received an older photo of the victim."

Toro lifted the photo up. The camera zoomed in on the photo. I studied it for a second. He looked nothing like that when I got him. He looked like a pretty decent person in that picture.
Wow. Maybe this guy actually had a decent life at one point.

Toro sighed, "Aaron has been seen at many bars every night. He is mainly seen at the Rueden bar, but he does tend to stray away and try many other bars and clubs in the city."

Lucy shifted uncomfortably behind Toro as he continued to speak about her husbands obvious alcoholic tendencies. She seemed quite embarrassed by it.

"And once again, if you see anybody that fits this description or have any information on this case, please contact either me or the local police station immediately." The two numbers flashed across the bottom of the screen once more. "Thank you for your time." Detective Toro concluded his statement and stepped down from the podium.

I groaned loudly clicking off the tv for the first time in days.
What if Frankie calls them. He may love me, but I dont think he can live with the guilt.
Fuck, why did I tell him. He wasnt fucking ready. Goddamnit.
I sighed leaning back onto the couch. God, I miss him. How could I let myself fuck up the only good thing in my fucking life.
I looked towards my phone, chewing harshly on my bottom lip. I clutched the phone in my hand, dialing in Frank's number. I hovered my thumb over the call button. Maybe if I can explain it all to him he'll come back.
No. He wouldn't even let me try to explain when I told him. I'm more than sure he's still not ready.
I felt my lip quiver as I threw the phone down onto the other side of the couch.
Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Why did i fucking tell him?

I groaned letting my head droop down into my hands. I know what I need to do to numb this pain, but what if Frank sees the news about it he could start to resent me even more. I dont know if I even care at this point. I need release. I need it now more than ever. I lifted my head up. Slowly rising to my feet I walked down the hall. I knew what I had to do.
I stared at myself in the mirror, examining every inch of my reflection. I clenched my eyes shut, trying to ignore all of the thoughts that flooded over me. I opened my eyes back up, letting out a heavy sigh. I splashed foundation over my face, covering up the dark circles that surrounded my eyes. I then added a small amount of brown eyeshadow in their place. I combed my hair in place to where it perfectly cupped around my face. I stared at my reflection for a few more seconds before grabbing my coat and slipping out of the door.
i scanned over the faces of the people who strolled by. They all were so vulnerable. No idea of the monsters they walk past everyday. And sadly for one of them they'll have to learn it the hard way. Because I'm the worst monster you could ever come in contact with.
My eyes landed on a small man. His brown hair curled above his thin face. Small freckles clouded his pale skin. He was quite attractive if I must say. His dark green eyes met mine in the matter of seconds. A small, shy smile appeared on his cheeks.
I smirked softly as I made my way towards the young man.

I placed my hand out as my lips curled into a devious smirk,

"Hi. Im Gerard."
