If you say, goodbye today

15 year old Gerard and 14 year old Frankie had been dating for about a few months. Gerard was so happy to finally call Frankie his after having a crush on him for years. Frankie also had been much better seeing that Gerard was always there with him to distract him from his hallucinations. "Frankie?" "Yeah?" He responded. "Do you actually wanna go somewhere for a change? We're always stuck in here." I say, sighing. "What you mean like a date?" "Yeah I guess" I say blushing slightly. Frank starts blushing too. "Well then, yes. Gerard Way, I would love to go on a date with you." He says smiling wide. "Great! I'll ask my mom and see if she can maybe drop us off at a restaurant or something." I go outside as I get out my phone typing in my moms phone number.
"Hey mom?"

"Yeah Gee?"

"Do you think maybe you could drop off me and Frank at a restaurant or something we kinda want to go on our first...date" I mumble the last part quietly so she can't hear.

"A DATE! Gerard! Oh my baby is all grown up!" She says happily. I just groan. I knew this would be her reaction.

"Well, Gerard you know that you're not supposed to leave the hospital that much, but I guess since you've been doing better and it IS your first date maybe I'll let you go for a few hours.."

"Thanks mom!"

"I'll pick you up in 10 minutes"

I hang up the phone and walk back into the hospital room. "Frankie? Guess what? My mom is gonna bring us to a restaurant for dinner." I told him excitedly. "Really? I thought for sure she would say no!" "I did too!" I said back.


"I'm really glad your mom let us go here" Frank said smiling as he sat across from me in a booth our favorite restaurant. "Me too" I said smiling back as I kissed him from across the table. In the middle of our kiss the waitress came over and stood there awkwardly as she waited for us to finish. "Um" she said clearing her throat. "Sorry" Frank said his face red. "Well anyway, here's your food" she said rudely. We took both of our plates and chatted for the rest of our meals about...everything basically, when my mom came to pick us up. It was already 10 pm!


When the two boys got back to the hospital, both were already really tired so they got into their pajamas right away. "Hey Frank?" "Yeah?" "I had fun tonight" "me too" Frank said back as he kissed Gerard. Hard. They fell back on the bed as they continued kissing. The door then swung open. "Why does everyone always interrupt us?" Gerard whispered to Frank as they were both breathing heavily, their faces inches away. They quickly got up before the nurse could see."Frank here is your medicine, and Gerard here is yours." The nurse said handing them their medicine. Both boys groaned. When the nurse finally left they took their medicine and then went to each of their beds to go to sleep. "Night Frank" "Night Gerard."


"Stop it! Stop it!" Frank screamed from his side of the room. Gerard woke up suddenly and rushed over to Frank, shaking him awake. "Frankie? What's wrong?" "I-I had a nightmare" Frank said scratching his arms vigorously like he used to. "They're coming back! The hallucinations!" "Frankie it's ok. I'll stay in your bed if you want I'll make them go away" Gerard whispered softly to Frank, trying to soothe him. He climbed into Franks bed softly humming to him and kissing his head as Frank slowly fell back asleep, in Gerard's arms.
