If you say, goodbye today

8 year old Gee still had a huge crush on the small 7 year old Frankie. Mrs. Way thought he would of gotten over it by now, but he still hadn't. He still admired the boy with the hazel eyes. And as usual little Frankie was still clueless to the fact that he had an admirer. Gerard just couldn't get the small boy out of his head. It seemed that Frankie also helped Gerard feel better too because he had been acting a lot happier these days. If only little Frankie knew how much Gerard liked him.


"Hey Frankie? Do you wanna go outside?" Gerard asked one day. "Yeah, sure I guess." The boy replied staring off into space. "Come on!" Gerard said taking Frankie's hand in his own and pulling him out of the room. As they headed for the front doors of the hospital they were stopped by a nurse. "Gerard, where are you going, honey?" She asked. "Well me and Frankie wanted to go outside." "Gerard you know it's not good for you to be going outside." She responded in a tone that sounded like a parents. "Please!!" He begged. "Fine, but only for a few minutes." She replied giving in to the 8 year olds begging. She brought them outside to the front as they ran around in a small grassy area under a tree. Frankie was still staring off into space and Gerard kept trying to get his attention and impress him by how fast he could run. Finally when Frankie started to seem to pay attention, a smile lit up Gerard's whole face. "What do you wanna play Frankie?" He asked jumping up and down. "Wanna play hide and seek?" "Sure!" Gee responded just happy that Frank was finally paying attention to him. "You count to 10 Gee." "Ok!" "1...2..3........" As soon as Frankie started counting, Gerard took off and hid behind a bush, accidentally bumping into the person he least expected to bump into.


"Mikes?" Gerard questioned. "Gee why are you out here?" Mikey, Gerard's 6 year old brother asked him, a confused look on his face. "I'm playing his and seek, with my best friend, Frank." Gerard said pointing to Frank who had now reached the number 9. "Can I play?" Mikey asked. "Sure! You can hide with me." Gerard said excited that his brother wanted to play with him. They sat in silence for a few minutes before Frank snuck up on them. "Found you! Wait Gee who is this?" "This is Mikey my brother. He wanted to play with us." "Oh ok" Frank said. Mrs. Way and the nurse, who Gerard's mother had been talking to walked up to them after their game. "Boys you've been out here long enough, it's time to go inside." She said as she took both of their hands in hers. "Bye Mikey!" Gerard yelled to his brother as him and Frank stepped back into the hospital and skipped back up to their rooms.

Sorry for the short chapter im about to leave for a vacation, but hopefully I'll get to write a few chapters on the car ride
