Home Is Where The Heart Is
Chapter Eight
*Gerard POV*
"Gerard, please don't do that again." Kat sobbed.
"I promise, I won't." I whispered, knowing I was lying.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
She curled up against me. We were upstairs in my room since mom wanted me to rest. She has to work the night shift at the hospital, but she told us to stay home tomorrow. She knew that both Kat and I needed it. Kat's brother will be attending the same school, so I guess she'll eventually have to face him.
*Kat POV*
I knew he was lying about not hurting himself again, but I didn't hold him against it. He can't help it. Hell, even I have done it. That's why I wear longsleeves all the time. I had caught glances of his wrists, noticing the familiar scars, but saved it for later. All these things I have lied about before, but I hadn't lied earlier, when I told him that I loved him. It was hard, since I hadn't spoken those words since my aunt died. But that a story for later.
"Kat?" Gerard yawned, stirring from his sleep. He had fallen asleep after our talk earlier. I couldn't, though. I was too worried about him.
"Yes, babe?" I asked, brushing him hair from his face.
"Why are you up?"
"I woke up only a few minutes ago." I lied.
"Kat, please don't lie to me. I know you didn't sleep. Here." He shifted, making me more comfortable. "Try and sleep."
"Promise you won't leave me?" I begged.
"Promise."
