Mikey was cold. Cold meaning his hands were turning purple where they didnt fit his pockets. That was uncomfortable, but it dodnt matter because when he went inside the school day would start and that wasnt something he wanted very much.
'cold, mikeyway?'
Mentaly, he made an exasperated noise, but didnt bother aswering.
'you can have my jacket'
Mikey blinked 'do I even know you' he didnt bother with making it an actual question, because whoeveritwas would talk anyway.
Something was draped around his shoulders and the stranger stepped into his direct line of vision so he couldnt be ignored
'you brother said something similar. You dont, but I just gave you my jacket so that makes us bestfriends, okay?' And I'm Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz the third. Call me Pete. Or wentz, if you mist, but thats generally when people are anoyed with me. They always are for some reason. 'yes' mikey backed that one up with an eyeroll
'oh sorry! I'm so sorry! its just so many words in my head all ganging up on each other and waging big comple wars and building cities like caligula I just need to get them out somehow like… and Im doing it again SORRY' Pete looked close to tears, even his hair looked less lively somehow.
'it's fine' Mikey heard himself say 'I dont have much to talk about so you arent stopping me'
'you have everything to talk about' objected Pete. 'All I know about you is your bass-god skills . Do you like the nightmare before christmas? favourite band? favourite comic, favourite coffe? favourote colour favourote animal favourite ice cream flavour waffles or pancakes or french toast?'
'cereal' Interrupted Mikey. 'I like cereal' He couldnt answer all those questions at once and it was still cold out here. 'and my favourire band is The Smiths and I need to go inside now'

Mikey rolled his eyes but smiled a bit too (by smiling he moved three muscle cells but it was the thought that counted)
