Some Other Way to Continue to Hide My Face.

Someone New.

Finally I found the little art store, apparently it had to be moved from its original spot due to a "Forever 21" being built. God do i hate stores like that, just filled to the brim of fake little teenage girls running around dressing like whores. Only occasionally do you see a normal girl trying to find a dress for some kind of family gathering.
Yeah that probably sounds creepy, it's not like i go around stalking all the little school girl's, I just like to people watch a lot. Like I will go into a coffee shop just to see how people act, I even like to make up my own little stories for them.

Maybe I am a little weird....

Anyway, I walked into the store and was greeted by the older woman sitting behind the counter, I smiled slightly when she waved politely at me before I headed towards the back. Hopefully the more professional materials were still back there.
My eyes scanned the rows of sketchbooks trying to find the cheapest one, I picked up a medium sized book and leafed through the pages.
Seemed like enough to last me a few months...
I shrugged to myself and tucked the booklet under my arm and continued my search down the isle for a cheap box of colored pencils.
Suddenly someone tapped me on my shoulder, I jumped away slightly before turning towards whoever it was. My hazel eyes met with the dark brown ones of the older shop owner, she chuckled quietly, "Sorry sweetie I didn't mean to scare you." I smiled warily at her and raked a hand through my hair. "It's okay Miss..."
I trailed off as she reached around me and picked up a box of colored pencils, my head tilted to the side in confusion as she held them out to me.
"Here!" she smiled up at me, I gently took the box from her hand. "I-I...um thank you." I stuttered, she nodded and turned back towards the front of the store.
"If you need anything I'll be up at the register!" she called out over her shoulder. I nodded even though she couldn't see me then looked down at the box of colored pencils, my lips twitched into a small smile, the box looked as if it had at least one of every color you could think of in it and it was only 10 dollars.
She knew exactly what I needed with out even asking... I guess she know's her stuff.
I laughed to myself and continued looking at all the other supplies just for the hell of it. Not only had the shop's size been reduced, the stock had been lowered as well. There weren't nearly as many art supplies as there had been before, hopefully this place won't go out of business.
A sigh escaped my lips before rolling my shoulder's and walking towards the front of the store.
I quietly stood in front of the counter and set down the sketchbook I picked out and the colored pencils the lady had given me.
The older woman gently grabbed and scanned the two materials and put them in a small plastic bag, I fished my wallet out of my pocket and pulled out 20 dollars, I placed the bill in her hand and took the bag from her.
"Have a good day honey." she said with a warm smile, I thanked her and headed back out into the now even more crowded mall.

What should I do now? I really don't feel like going back to my apartment and i don't have to work today but where else could I go in here? It's not like I'm here enough to know what stores are cool...

I was snapped out of my thought's when something small bumped into my leg, I looked down to see a little blonde boy sitting on the ground, his big blue eyes extremely wide as he looked back up at me. I smiled softly at the boy and crouched down to his level.
"You alright kid?" I asked, he nodded and pushed himself off the ground so we were the same height. He sniffled and rubbed his nose with the back of his hand, my eyebrows furrowed in confusion at the little boy. "What's wrong? Where's your mom?" I kept my voice soft so he wouldn't get upset, He pointed towards the store we were outside of. My gaze followed his finger, My chest tightened slightly when my eyes landed on the man restocking a CD case. His dark hair hung slightly below his left eye and two piercings decorated his face, one on his nose and the other in his lip. His arms were littered in tattoo's, well as far as I could tell since the long sleeve's of his Misfits shirt were rolled up just above his elbow.
I blinked a few times and looked back at the little boy who was watching me in wonder.
"Why are you cheeks all red Mister?"
I opened and closed my mouth like a fish trying to figure out what to say to him, but in all honesty I didn't know myself.
"L-Let's go find your mom!" I said changing the subject and stood up. The boy took a hold of my hand and looked up at me with his big eyes again. "So, why'd you run away?" I asked.
The kid looked down, his bottom lip jutting out in a little pout.
"Mama yelled at me..."
I nodded, and lightly pulled him into the store. My eyes looked over the short rows for someone who may looked slightly panicked, sure enough there was a woman in the back frantically running around mumbling incoherent words. I pulled the little boy through the isle's behind me as I made my way back to the woman.
"Excuse me?" I called out, the blonde woman looked quickly up at me with worried eyes. "I believe you lost someone."
Her eyes flickered down to the little blonde boy and instantly filled with relief.
"Oh my! Thank you so much young man!" she exclaimed and picked up her little boy and placed kisses all over his face. The boy giggled and hugged his mom, he looked over at me and gave me a toothy grin.
"Sweetie go ahead and thank the pretty man!" the mom urged her son. I felt my cheeks heat up at the word pretty.
"I-It's fine really, D-Don't worry about it!" I awkwardly scratched the back of my neck and shifted my gaze to the floor, the woman laughed and patted my shoulder gently.
"Anyway sweetie, thank you for finding my son." She said and kissed the little boy on the cheek, I smiled at her and the boy as they walked out of the shop.

This is the most human contact I've had in the longest time...

I turned around and ran right into something, I stumbled backwards a little before regaining my footing. An amused chuckle hit my ears and my eyes flickered up and met with a pair of bright hazel ones.
It felt as if my dead heart twitched a little inside my chest as I looked at the shorter dark haired man standing in front of me. He smiled crookedly at me and held out his hand.
"I saw what you did for that little boy, that was pretty cool."
I hesitantly grasped his hand and gently shook it.
"I'm Frank nice to meet you!"

"Gerard...Nice to meet you too."
