Gerard...
The name matched him very well. It was different and from the looks of it he was too. With his pale skin that stood out against his black hair and clothing. His eyes were hazel with flecks of gold dancing around in them too, his little nose was upturned and pointed slightly... Like a pixie.

I guess I had been looking at him for too long because he shifted from foot to foot and his gaze darted to the floor.
"So... You new around here? I haven't see you around before."
Gerard look back up at me and shook his head.
"Uh no. I-I've lived here a long time, going out just isn't my thing." He smiled crookedly at me. I raised my eyebrows slightly.
"Oh really? I just moved here a few weeks ago so I don't know much about this place."

"It's a decent town to live in, but if I were you I wouldn't go out at night..."
He trailed off and looked down at the ground again. "Oh? What goes on at night" I asked. He just shrugged, peaking at me through his lashes.
A small silence stretched between us before he spoke up again.
"There are a lot of druggies and criminals that come out... it's safer to just stay inside and watch shitty horror movies."

That makes sense.. I wouldn't want to be mugged going for a midnight stroll.

I giggled making Gerard look at me, one of his dark eyebrows arched in confusion.
"What makes that funny?" He questioned. I looked away and coughed awkwardly.

"Well I kinda pictured myself prancing down the streets at night weirding out anyone who might want to attack me."
My cheeks burned slightly as I realized how stupid that sounded. I glared at the ground regretting what I said.

But to my surprise he chuckled and my gaze shot back up to his face. Gerard was smiling, his small teeth showing a bit.
"That would be pretty rad if that were true but sadly it isnt . I'm weird as shit but I've been chased before."
I laughed a little. "Maybe you aren't weird enough."
Gerard rolled his eyes and smirked.
"Trust me Frank I'm totally weird enough."

His face darkened slightly when he said that but only for a second he quickly covered it up with a small smile.
I brushed it off and continued on the conversation. If there was something wrong I had no right to ask about it yet.

Yet...

"Hey uhm I gotta finish up my work but..." I paused for a second to pull out my phone. "Put in your number and i'll text you when I'm done- only if you want me to of course!"
Gerard nodded and took my phone, he quickly typed in his number and handed it back. "Thanks... So I'll text you later, maybe we can get coffee or something?" I asked my anxiousness growing.

"Yeah, that sounds nice."

"Good..." I breathed. "Uh I-I mean cool- yeah s-see you later then."
I blushed furiously, cursing myself for stuttering.

Smooth Frank.

He chuckled and turned away and began to walk out the store. "See you Frankie." And just like that he disappeared into the sea of people.
I stared after him for another minute before looking down at my phone, the screen was still open on the contact that was added.

He called me Frankie...

My face warmed slightly and I shoved my phone back in my pocket before walking back to the boxes of CD's I had been unpacking.

Just two more hours.

It's been FOREVER I know I'm so sorry :'( I wasn't sure how to keep going or if anyone really likes it but a super nice person found me and said how much they liked it and that made me want to write more! so I'm actually gonna keep trying with this one! (sorry its a short chapter too)
