No Shows

Gerard's P.O.V

I stared at the card. Serenity Waters. Strange name. But nice. I head in the direction of the kitchen, dodging other gyests. I stop by the kitchen sink as I hear voices outside.
"Come on, Serenity." One guy pleaded.
"You know you want to." Another muttered.
She sighed. "I'm sorry but I'm not interested." She told them.
"So who are you interested in?" Yet another guy asked.
"Why?" She asked.
"It's that red head from earlier, isn't it?" The first guy asked. "The one you did the magic trick with earlier."
I held my breath while I waited for the answer.
"Maybe." She muttered.
"What's so good about him?" The second guy asked.
"You saw him, right?" She asked. "He's hot."
I smiled. She thinks I'm hot.
"He's only a comic book artist." The first guy said.
"A hot comic book artist AND those eyes." She added. "Not to mention those lips."
My smile widened. I shouldn't be listening to this. But I couldn't move.
"Mind if I butt in guys?" A woman's voice interrupted. "I need to talk to...Serenity. It's important. "
I heard the guys walk away.
"What's wrong, Arlia?" Serenity asked.
"I'm sorry to disturb you, your majesty." Arlia said quietly. 'Your majesty'?
"Don't say that here." Serenity snapped.
"I'm sorry, your...Serenity." Arlia corrected. "News from home."
"Go on."
"Verity is missing. "
"Damn it." Serenity cursed. "How long?"
"Two days. But Meridian is also missing."
"What?" Serenity whisper shouted. "How? Gray was supposed to be guarding her. This can't be happening. Without Meridian, we can't win." 'Can't win'?
"But you can, your...Serenity. " Arlia protested. "Your powers can be boosted." 'Powers'? What the fuck are they talking about?
"That is a last resort." Serenity sighed. "We still don't know if it will work or kill me. I can't think straight in this form. I'll meet you at midnight. Usual place." 'This form? It just gets stranger and stranger.
"Okay, your ma..Serenity. " Arlia said. Then I heard her walk away.
So what do I know about Serenity? She has a friend called Arlia who calls her your majesty. Someone called Verity has been missing for two days. Gray didn't protect Meridian so she's missing too. Meridian is very important. Serenity has powers of some kind. There's something that can boost her 'powers', but it could kill her. Nothing strange there then. Role play? That could be the only explanation. I intend finding out. Whatever it takes.
