Divided

Jane's POV.

I took a deep breath. "it's time...", and took a step foward.
"JANE STOP!" I hear someone scream behind me. At first it sounded like my brothers. But then something inside me told me differently, "Frank?" I whisper.
I start to turn around to face who ever called my name, but one of my feet was already over the edge. I loose my balance. The ground dissapears from under my feet. I feel myself falling.
"JANE!!!"
I close my eyes waiting for impact, but suddnely, I feel someone wrap his arms around my waist and pulling me back in. I crash against his body. We maneged to keep ourselves standing. My eyes were closed. I still feel his body close to mine. I burry my head on his shoulder and take a deep breath.
"We're finally together... This has to be heaven... I died and went to heaven so I could be with you..." I say against his skin. I finally feel at peace. Finally, we can be together...
"Jane, you're not dead! And I'm not dead either!" I feel his hands pulling my head up and cupping my face, "Open you're eyes for me baby, open! Look I'm alive! We both are!"
I open my eyes. Frank is standing right there, our faces nearly touching. It's night. There's the forest behind us. He looks bruised. Mikey and Gerard are standing behind him, shock covering their faces.
I look back at Frank, focusing only on him. "It's a dream... It has to be a dream..." I think to myself. But everything looks so real, even his touch feels real.
I lift my hands to squeeze his, making sure that I'm not dreaming. Our hands connect.
Tears start to fall, as I small and wrap my arms around him as hard as I could. "This is real! You're alive! Oh by the Earth, you're alive!", I cry against his shoulder, my body shaking from emotion. He pulls me away just a bit, so I can look into his eyes.
"I would never leave you... I love you!" Frank says, then presses his lips softly against mine.
The touch of his lips made me want him even closer. I press my lips against him, hard and passionately. I hear a small gasp of surprise coming from him, but he kisses back.
My hole body felt warm. Happiness flooded me. Our kisses were a combination of lips, saliva and tears. He was crying, but I could feel him smile against my lips every time he kissed me back. He had his arms wrapped around my waist and I had on hand on his neck and one on his shoulder. I felt him tighten his grip around me and lifting me off the ground. I immediately wrap my legs around his waist for balance. And that's how we stay for a while. Just kissing and holding eachother, enjoying every second of it. I still couldn't belive that this was real... But it was, Frank Iero was right here, kissing me.
I pulled back from the kiss, to look at his face again. He had a huge, face splitting smile and tears of happiness in his eyes.
"How did you find me?" I ask him, "Or most importantly, how are you alive?!"
"Mikey tracked me down just in time... He..." Before he could finish, I jump off his lap and turn to my brothers.
Mikey was there, looking at us, also with a smile on his face and tears in his eyes. I run to him and he opens his arms to receive me. We crash together in a warm hug. He's too tall for me to place my chin on his shoulder, so I just cuddle against his chest. He rests his lips on my head, kissing my hair softly. I could feel his tears falling on my head.
"Thank you Mikey... You saved him... Thank you..." I whisper against his chest,
"Anytime sweetheart..." He chuckles.
I pull away from the hug, to look up at him. He lookes down on me and tilts his head slightly to the side and signal me to look to his right.
I look over, and Gerard was standing there, fidgeting with his hands and looking down at the ground. I could hear small sobs coming out him.
I walk over and stand in front of him. He doesn't look up at me. He was shaking in fear and mumbling something. After focusing for a minute, I finally understood what he was saying,
"I'm sorry... I am so sorry, please forgive me... What have I done?... How could I do this?... I endangered my own sisters life... I placed at the mercy of a monster, because I was to afraid to break tradition... I was to afraid of the consequences..."
I grab his hands and he jumps in surprise, but still doesn't lift his head. He's still shaking.
"I know..." I speak, " I know I shouldn't forgive you...I know that I should hate you for what you did... I should tell you, that you should have had the courage to deal with this on your own... You told me, you didn't like Andrew... But you still went against your own feelings, trying to fulfill an arrangement, made by someone who never cared about his children, that only cared about power...I know I shouldn't forgive you..." I place one of my hands under his chin, forcing him to look up at me. His eyes are swollen from crying, his face is scratched from running through th woods. In his eyes, I can see that he's expecting me to get angry at him, to cut me out of my life... But I continue, "But I will forgive. You're my brother and I love you all the same. I understand that you were just trying to fulfill the role as head of the family, that there was little you could do, seeing that there was a contract. But belive me when I say, that you are more than capable of making decisions on your own... You don't need anyone's approval, other than your family's...."
He looks at me like I just slapped him. He's confused from what I just said. I smile at him and hug him. At first he doesn't hug me back. I can feel that he's still trying to make sense of what just happend. But when he does, he hugs me back.
"I am so sorry Jane... How can you ever forgive me?!"
"By promising me one thing..." I say, pulling away from the hug
"Anything!!"
"Don't ever do that again..."

I'm back in my room, laying in bed with Frank.
When we got home, Frank told me that I should take a shower to relax for a bit. While I did that, he rebuilt my room.
I changed into my pajama and layed in bed. He followed me in and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him. He kissed me softly and caressed my hair. After we broke the kiss, we just stood there, looking at eachother, making sure that we don't loose any second of our time together.
Mikey and Gerard aren't here. They said something about getting rid of all the evidence, so they hopped back into Mikey's car and drove off. What did they mean by that, I'll find out tomorrow.
The sun is starting to rise. The weak rays of sunshine creep inside my bedroom and shine on Frank's face.
I'm feel absolutely relaxed and happy. I still feel like everything is just a dream from which I'll wake up abruptly and find out that I'm still in that dirty cellar, naked and hurt. The thought of it made me cringe.
"What's wrong baby?" Frank askes
"I'm afraid that this is a dream... That I'll wake up any minute now, to find that I'm still in that cellar..."
"This isn't a dream sweetheart... It's real... We're both here, and Anthony is dead... He can never hurt us again... I'll never let anyone hurt you again..." Frank kisses my forehead, "Try and sleep baby... You look like you're abalut to pass out from exhaustion..."
" I'm scared to close my eyes... I'm scared I might dream about... It..." He knew what I meant.
He pulled me closer to his body so that he's entire body was touching mine, like we were just one person. Our faces were so close, our foreheads were together and I could almost feel his eyelashes brushing my cheeks.
"I will be right here to protect you... You will never have to be afraid again... Just sleep baby..." He whispers
"Do you promise to be here when I wake up?" I ask, slowly closing my eyes and letting sleep and exhaustion take over.
He kisses my lips gently and whispers against them, "I'll never leave your side again..."
