Divided

Frank's POV

I'm still not very sure about what just happend. I was talking to Jane, then I saw Anthony's knife, then all of a sudden he was on the floor, fighting with someone. It took me a while to realize that it was one of Jane's brothers.
"Is he here to try and kill me too?!" Was my first thought, but when I noticed that they were trying to kill eachother, realization struck me, "He's here to kill Anthony!"
As soon as the thought crossed my mind, I knew I had to help him. I didn't care that he didn't want me around his sister, but if I let him die, Jane would be devastated, after all, he is her brother, no matter what.

I had had my hands bound behind my back. I knew I had to act quickly, they were throwing punches at eachother and rolling around in the ground. I saw something fall from Jane's brother jeans. I squinted a bit because of the dim lighting but soon realized that it was a gun. I ran towards it. I needed to get my hands off my back, so I could reach the gun. I looked over at the two men, still struggling, but this time, they were reaching for Anthony's knife, he was also the one to get it and was now pushing it against the other man's neck.
"MOVE Frank!!" I thought to myself. I sat on the ground I tried to pass my hands under my ass and over my legs, but it reviled to by a difficult task. Anthony was winning, Jane's brother looked like he was loosing his strenght. I finally managed to bring my hands back to the front and immediately hold the gun. I stood up, aimed, and fired.

And here I am now. Holding a smoking gun. I think I might have closed my eyes when I took the shot, because when I came to again, Anthony was laying on the ground, lifeless and with a hole between his eyes, caused by the bullet exiting his head.
I saw enough movies to realize that I should be sore from the gun recoil, but I'm pretty sure the adrenaline was overpowering it.
I looked at the man, and the man looked at me. "What happens now?! Is he here to help me? Or to kill me as well? He doesn't like me. Did he tried to kill Anthony so he would kill me himself? Did I just help my future murderer?" All these thoughts were running through my head. And when I saw the man, recover from his shock and stand up, I pointed the gun at him.
"Oh easy!" He said lifting his arms, "I came to help you! I'm Mikey, Jane's brother..."
"Why would you want to help me?! You don't like me! You don't want me near your sister! You were going to force her to..."
"I know all that!" He interrupted me, "But I also admit that I was wrong! Jane needs you! She loves you more than life it self!"
"And how would you know that?!"
"Because she told me, and I saw it in her eyes. And I can see it in yours as well. Every time I say her name, your eyes sparkle. I belive now that you too love eachother, it's not some random attraction, you really do care about eachother!"
"You spoke to her?! Is she alright?! Were is she?!" I blurted out the words, filled with excitement and worry at the same time.
"She's back at the house. She's fine, considering everything. She was the one that begged me to come and find you before Andrew did something to you... And I'll take to her... If you please put down the gun..."
I didn't even noticed I was still holding the gun straight at him. I started to lower it but then I hold it back up,
"How do I know you're not lying to me?!" I asked him
"Because I know what's at stake! If you die, Jane won't be able to handle it! She's a complete mess right now! I don't know what Andrew did to her, all I know is that he hurt her and that she needs you, to help her! And we're loosing time!! I need to get you to Jane ASAP!"
"Right! Let's go!" I dropped the gun but noticed my hand were still bound with the handcuffs filled withe Verbane poison. I turn to Mikey, "Check his pockets!"
"Why?" He askes, and I lift my hands showing the handcuffs.
He understands what I mean and goes to search Anthony's body for the key. When he founds it, he walks over to me and unlockes them. When I'm free, we turn around and run back to his car, getting in and speeding back to the house like our lives depended on it,
"Not ours... Jane's..." I thought.

We reach the house And find Jane's older brother standing in the driveway, pacing and looking worried. when he sees his brother he walks over to him and speaks in a high pitch tone, filled with fear and concern,
"Thank the Earth you're here! I don't know what to do! She just took off! I don't know we're she went! Mikey I'm scared!! What if she did something stupid?!"
"Gerard slow the fuck down! What happend?! Where's Jane?!" Mikey askes his brother,
"I don't fucking know!! Andrew called saying that she wanted to talk to her, I gave her the phone, she answered and locked herself in her room. I don't know what happend because suddenly she started screaming and crying like she was dying! I tried to open the door but she blocked it. She stopped crying after a while and then opend the door and left, not saying anything! I looked inside her room and it was completely destroyed!! I walked inside and she had this on the bed!" Gerard hands Mikey a small piece of paper, I lean in to read it but Gerard keeps talking, "I'm afraid she's going to do something stupid! What happend?! What did Andrew say to her?!" Gerard was on the verge of tears, but I didn't care, I looked over at the paper and read Jane's words, "...forgive me for what I'm about to do."

My my heart sinks to the floor. She thinks I'm dead. She must have heard the gunshot and thought it was me! With the adrenaline, I didn't even remember to pick up the phone again to see if she was there. "She thinks I'm dead... And now she's going to kill herself!" I thought. Mikey and Gerard are speaking in the background, but I can only make out a few words, "...and you didn't...", "...find her...", but one frame wakes me form my state, "Where would she go?!"
I look up at both of them, "Where would she go to say goodbye?!" They look at me dumbfounded, like I wasn't supposed to speak, "FUCK! Think!!! You're her brothers!! We're would she go to be at peace?! To think?! To say goodbye?!"
We're loosing time, every second we waist not looking for Jane is another second she's close to her death. But suddenly Mikey wides his eyes and whispers, "The south cliffs, the ones that overlook the town..."
I don't even answer, I just start running. Luckily I know does cliffs, I go there all the time to get herbs for my teas.
I'm running in the dark, the Way brothers are close behind me. I can hardly see anything in front of me, but I need to keep running, I need to get to Jane... "Please Jane, don't do anything stupid..."

I'm almost at the cliffs, sweat is pouring down my face and my back, I'm out of breath, but I need to keep going, I need to get to Jane.
The edge of the cliffs come in sight through the trees and I stop to look around, trying to find her. At first I can't see anything, "Oh no..." I start to panic, but suddenly, a shape in the darkness calls my attention, a shape of a woman, and she's at the edge of the cliff, her arms slightly away from her body, her palms open, and her head tilted back, like she's taking a deep breath.
"Jane..." I whisper, I realize that she's preparing to jump, I start to run again... One of her feet is already dangling in the air,
"JANE STOP!!!"
