{SOMETIME IN 2012, DURING THE HELIUM WAR

Steve and Jimmy were hiding out at Le Millénaire Nouveau.
Steve was still able to walk.

"I can't take it underground anymore Steve." Jimmy said. "We've got to rebel."
"Dude," Steve responded. "How the hell are you gonna do that? Have you seen what Korse does to rebels like us?"
"I know, I know. But you've got Ricky. And we still have Kitty and Lynz. Plus the rest of the guys-"
"How the hell are all of us gonna team up against a fucking army of Dracs?"
"Trust me, Steve-O. It's the only way."

Just then, one of the dancers, a petite, curvy, slightly olive skin-toned brunette walked pasted with a man following behind her. Both at least 19-years-old.
"C'mon." the man whined. "I know you loved back in 7th grade."
"Yeah," the girl responded. "In seventh grade. And guess who knew about that for two weeks and didn't bother to tell me he was taken until his friend ratted him out to me."

Steve found himself over-hearing the conversation between the two.

"I thought you knew." the boy added.
"Really? After hitting on you for two fucking weeks in seventh grade, you thought I knew you we're taken." the girl continued. "If you had just told me right then and there and been honest from the beginning, I would have understood and left you alone. But you didn't, did ya?"
"Ok, so I screwed up-"
"Yeah, ya did. And ya know what? Things got worse from there."
"What do you even mean by that?"
"After you, there was Owen. And he did the same shit you did but he lied for six weeks; three times as long as you did. And Jesse only asked me out on a dare and as some fucking joke. Eugene just used me to get Skyler back. Chris was hitting on me while he was still dating Zinnia. And Martin came out two days after asking me out, so basically, he used me just to cover up his sexuality for whatever reason."
Silence
"After that, I gave up. Didn't even fucking bother anymore. And I still feel that way today. I know the real reason you want me now: just so you can have some slutty looking girlfriend that you can brag about to the guys. Face it Simon, I'm not falling for any of your fucking male tricks to get me into bed with out, and I'm not just some toy you can use to play your little sex games with the other guys. I learned to move on from false hope like that; maybe you should too."
"Helena-"
"No. Now, if you'd excuse me, I'm up in a few minutes and I have to get ready."

And the girl left, leaving him hanging.}

"How do you even remember that entire conversation?" Poison asked Dr. D.
"It was the same night the Dracs discovered the hideout." Dr. D answered. "The same night I got paralyzed and stuck in this chair. The same night they got Jimmy. And I even remembered what happened to Simon."
"What happened?"
"He got ghosted. Fought against them for quite sometime, but still got ghosted."
"And you know for sure the girl was Helena?"
"How could I not have been sure it was her? It was at Le Millénaire Nouveau. Burlesque and modern rock. She was the main event. And how could anyone forget a sexy performance of Queen's 'Don't Stop Me Now'?"
"Yeah, no one can forget good performances of legendary songs."
Silence.
"So I guess she is a bit too strong for us, then, D?"
"But we obviously can't just through her back out in the desert. We still need her. Eventually someone's going to have to go out in the Zones to watch your asses. We can't keep her with just the female jobs forever."
"You're right."

"Go get some rest, you need it. I can take it for tonight."
"Well, if you insist."
