Frank's P.O.V

We walk out of the house, grabbing some money and heading for the park.
It's pitch black. I took a blanket with us to sit on the slightly muddy, damp grass, and a few tealight candles in my pocket.
As I lit the candles, Helena stared up at the sky, as there was a shooting star amongst the other, motionless lights.
I break the silence
'I feel safe being with you Helena'
'I feel safe being with you too Frankie'
' You're one of the only person I'll say this to but-' I sigh ' Do you want to know what happened with my leg'
I'm shaking at this point.
I've only ever told Mikey, Gee and Ray and I've known them years.
' As long as you actually want to tell me Frankie, you really don't have to'
'I'll tell you, I trust you'
I pull her in for a hug.
'When I was young, my mum and dad split, leaving me to go with my mum. She became alcoholic and addicted to heroin. One night she was really drunk and had taken an almost lethal overdose. She blamed me for the stress and got out a butcher's knife. She sat on my stomach and wanted to stab me. She turned around and started cutting my stomach and then she went on and did that to my leg'
At this point I was sobbing like a child, my head pressed inside her neck, smelling me deodorant on her delicate, pale skin.
'It's okay, Frankie, I won't let anyone do that to you. Ever' she softly whispers into my ear
We stay like this for at least half an hour before pulling apart and holding hands whilst sat down.
Then for an hour we sit, telling jokes, laughing and just generally, being ourselves.
