Isn't That Something

I looked at the ring and then back at Ray. He smiled and put the ring on my finger.
“Yes!” I yelped jumping into his lap although I would regret that later because it hurt like a mother…
“Ahh she said yes,” his mother yelled to the others who were ease dropping on us. Everyone came out to congratulate us. Everyone then gathered into the dining room for dinner and then open presents. As we set at the table, everyone was starting to ak us when we would want to get married.
"I think we should wait until Crow gets better from the accident and finishes college," Ray said while I was stuffing my face with turkey.
" Crow, slow down you'll choke," Ray said. I look up and swallow the food.
"You try having hospital food for like a week," I said. He nodded and we all went back to eat. I watched the kids open the presents and their parents take pictures knowing that I wont be able to do that. Ray held my hand and probably knew what i was thinking.
"It'll be okay I'll love you either way." I smiled and kissed him. We go to bed and lay in the bed. I snuggle with Ray.
"Ray, I love you," i said kissing his cheek. He smiles and held me loosly because of my ribs.
"I love you more," he said kissing my head. We fall asleep.
The next morning, the kids were yeling because some of the cookies that they left were eaten. I smiled seeing them happy. Ray grabbed my waist and kissed me. Everyone goes outside to see the Christmas lights on the cabin and in the trees.
"Its so pretty huh," i said looking at Ray.
"Yea but i think that you're prettier," he said holding my hand. This Christmas is the best that i have had since Grandma Helena. I also got to spend it with the one that I'm going to be with forever.
