Kids in Love

"Okay so you think I should just tell her then?" Frank asked Gerard.Now that he had finally admitted how he really felt about Alice to someone else he had admitted it to himself too. He couldn't hid from his feelings any more, he had to face them."That's exactly what I'm saying man!" Gerard shot out of his seat and slammed his hand down on the counter, "and you know what I always say?"
"What?" Frank asked and took as sip of his coffee, even though it was already going cold.
"There's no time like the present!" with that Gerard whipped his phone out of his pocket and dialled Alice's number. Before Frank could even register what was happening the phone was already ringing.

"What the fuck man?! Hang up! Hang up!" Frank leapt from his char and tried, unsuccessfully, to grab the phone from the taller boys hand. Gerard was able to fend him off for a moment until he had to run from him. Frank chased him in circles around the kitchen island, they both stopped abruptly when Alice's voice answered.
"Hello?"
"Hey Alice! How are you doing? It's Gerard here, I'm over in Frank's house, I stayed here with him last night. I just wanted to see if you wanted to come over and watch a movie or something?" he asked quickly, stifling a laugh as Frank made obscene gestures at him from across the room.
"Yeah, I'd love to but I'm here with Lindsey at the moment. Is it okay if she comes along too?" Alice asked. Gerard began to get flustered himself at the mention of the girls name.
"Well, yeah, um, yeah. I mean, of course it's okay if she comes. Yeah." He sighed and shook his head at how stupid he must have sounded.
"Okay, great! See you soon then." Before Alice could hang up Gerard stopped her.
"Wait, Alice! I just wanted to tell you that Frank has something to tell you when you get here too. Bye." he hung up quickly before she could ask any questions.

"What. The. Fuck. Man." Frank was both calm and filled with rage. Gerard stood perfectly still, knowing that if he made any sudden moves he may literally be murdered by Frank.
"I know it seems bad, but hear me out! You and I both know that if it was up to you to tell her yourself it would take weeks for you to grow the balls to do it!" he tried to explain.
"You don't know that!" He shouted across the question, Gerard just gave him a knowing look.
"Okay man, sure. But just so you know, she's gonna be here in a matter of minutes and you actually look like death. I'd take a shower if I were you."
"Oh my god. I'm gonna... Just... Ugh" Frank took a deep breath and pinched the bridge of his nose, he knew what Gerard was saying was true, that didn't lessen his annoyance at him though, he turned to his friend and calmly spoke, "Fuck, you." before leaving the room and rushing upstairs to take a quick shower.

Alice and Lindsey left her grandmothers house a few minutes after getting the call from Gerard. It was clear to see how excited Lindsey was to be seeing Gerard again. Even though they'd spoken less than a day before hand, anyone would think that the hadn't seen each other in a year. Alice on the other hand was wrought with nerves. She had no idea how Frank was going to react to her new look, and what did he have to tell her. her mind went to the worst, maybe the girl from the bar was his girlfriend or something, she just prayed that that wasn't the case.

Alice and Lindsey reached the front door of Franks house and knocked loudly. Gerard answered, his hair was as shaggy as usual and he held a cup of fresh coffee in his left hand. He opened the door with a warm smile which quickly changed to a look of shocked surprise when his eyes landed on Alice.
"And who is this?" He asked Lindsey playfully and chuckled. Alice pushed past him into the hallway and nudged his shoulder purposefully.
"Ha ha, very funny!" Alice joked, secretly pleased with the look of pleasant surprise still plastered on Gerard's face.
"Sorry, but in all honestly, you look fantastic! Frank'll be down in a minute, he's just getting dressed."

Frank could hear a knock at the door, he was still getting dresses, wearing only a pair of jeans he dried his damp hair with a towel and rooted in hos closet for a clean t-shirt. he threw on a white t-shirt and slipped on his shoes before checking himself in the mirror. He never usually did it, but his nerves were flaring up more than he could ever remember them doing before. He threw his damp towel in the hamper and left his room.

Alice could hear footsteps above her head and Frank appeared at the top of the staircase. He only made it halfway down before he stopped in his tracks and stared at her. Frank didn't know how, but she looked even more beautiful than she usually did, he had thought it was impossible. Alice grew uneasy at the sudden silence, Frank's eyes were focused on her so severely that she was almost sure she had forgotten to wear clothes and this was a bad dream. Was this a good stare, or was it a bad stare?

Before Frank knew what he was doing his mouth opened and a string words poured out, "Will you go out with me?!" he all but shouted down the stairs before throwing his hands up to cover his mouth as if trying to force the words back inside him.

I hope this chapter's okay. I accidentally deleted it earlier and had to rewrite it entirely (I posted a comment about it below). I was going to do it tomorrow but I decided I might as well rewrite it now while it's fresh in my mind. So I'm sorry that this probably isn't as good as the first write of it would've been but here we are!

And I checked the popular stories page and this story's on the first page!!!!! Not only is it on the first page but it's the 9th most popular story on the sight?!? WHat!?
