You're Beautiful To Me

Chapter 125 - Happy Ending

When I come to I'm laying on the bed, Frank laying beside me gently patting at my cheek and saying "Wake up, come on." I blink hard a few times, my vision still a little blurry before the room finally comes into full focus and I turn my head to look over at Frank, his forehead pulled into a slight frown. We both remain silent for a few seconds before Franks face relaxes and his mouth pulls up a little at the corner and he says "Since when are you so dramatic?" I continue to just stare at him for a few seconds longer before I remember how to speak. "You don't want me anymore?" Franks face falls into another frown as he says "No baby of course I want you, I'll always want you. Don't ever think for a second that I don't." "But....you said....." I trail off, unsure of what to say. "I just can't keep doing what we're doing that's all. I still love you, I still love the kids, you guys make my life worth living but I can't keep walking on eggshells, I can't keep biting my tongue. I don't want to live with this tension anymore and I definitely don't want to keep fighting with you." I remain silent, just staring up at Franks face as he hovers over me and after a few long seconds I raise my hand to gently run my fingers over the still red mark from where I hit him earlier. "I can't....I didn't...." I stutter, unable to form a coherent sentence and Franks hand comes up to rest over mine, holding my palm against his cheek as he softly says "I know."

TWO YEARS LATER

"Alice Iero your butt better be in that car in the next thirty seconds" Frank calls out, walking into the kitchen where I'm washing the dishes to grab his keys laying on the table. "I'm coming" I hear being yelled before fast footsteps sound down the hall, a flash of purple and black going past the doorway before they stop and Allie steps back into the kitchen. "Hey you're not even out there" she pouts, her hand on her hip as she rolls her eyes and I chuckle softly as Frank says "Well you needed to get a move on, we're going to be late." I turn around to face them, grabbing the dish towel to dry my hands off as my face breaks into a smile as I take in Allies outfit, a black skirt teamed with a purple and black striped long sleeve shirt, a black tshirt over the top with black leggings and sparkly silver sneakers. Her hair is long and hanging down her back, slightly tangled from her rushing and I drop the towel back on the table as I cross the room to gently run my fingers through it, pushing it back off her face as I lean down and press a soft kiss to the top of her head. "You guys better get going, have a good day baby." Allies arms wrap around my waist, her body pressing against mine briefly before she steps back and says "Bye dad," stepping back out into the hallway and grabbing her discarded school bag and as Frank goes to follow he leans in and presses a kiss to my cheek. "I'll see you when I get back" he tells me, winking as he gently slaps me on the butt and I squeak softly as he leaves the room, following Allie out the door to the car where Anna is already waiting and I smile to myself as I cross back over to the sink, finishing the dishes as I think about how much progress we've made in the last two years, Allie finally happy and confident in her body and our family back to normal again.

Notes

So I have decided I will do both a happy and sad ending, hope you enjoyed the happy one. Prepare your tissues for the sad one coming soon :P

... that was so well written from start to finish <3 well done on finishing it so beautifully & thanks for making the whole plot so real! xoxo

I like the happy ending, but the sad ending fits more with the story. I will admit that the sad ending did make me cry.

I read both endings and as much as I wish it was happier, the sad ending fits best. I think it's too sudden for everything to just become happy and perfect again. It would have been nice to see a better outcome for Alice in the last one though.
