The World is Ugly

I woke up the next morning to giggling and screaming Mikey and Gee.

"Ugh, guys, it's like, 9. Shut uuuup," I croaked. Mikey's face hovered over mine. "We got signed."
"What?" I was utterly confused.
"Gee told you we wanted to start a band, right? Well, last week we called a record label about producing an album! AND THEY SAID YES."
I shot up, smiling for them. "That's... that's fucking awesome. I'm so happy for you!" I got up and hugged them both.
"We'll be leaving in a few months to record a few songs," Gerard said. I didn't realize that he meant he was gonna be gone, I was just so happy.
"Can I, like, be your entourage?" I asked.
"Of course."
Mikey pulled away from the hug to call Frankie and Ray.
"I'm so happy I could kiss you right now," Gee whispered. I did it for him. He ran his fingers through my hair and I felt absolutely wonderful. There was then the clearing of a throat.
"I'm still here, guys."
"S-sorry," I chuckled.

I jumped into the shower before our celebratory McDonald's breakfast. I thought about last night and felt my face get hot. My thoughts then drifted to why we're in this hotel in the first place. Mom. I thought about picking up the razor again, but I couldn't. My best friends and boyfriend have started a band, are on their path to fulfilling their dreams. I can't ruin this perfect day.

~*~ TIME ELAPSE ~*~

"TO OUR YET UNNAMED BAND!" they yelled, and brought all their coffee cups together. I couldn't stop smiling. I was so happy for them. We got like, a shit ton of pancakes that we weren't even gonna eat. That's how we celebrated, buying too many pancakes. But it was still wonderful. Gee announced to them that we were dating and "I KNEW IT!"'s and highfives ensued.

I also found out that day that me and Gee were given a two-month leave from school due to our apparent stress. Well okay, I was given a leave but he was my guardian so they gave it to him too. I felt a bit bad realizing that I wouldn't see the rest of them that often during the week anymore, but knew we were gonna be a hell of a lot closer.

I felt like things were finally falling into place.
