The World is Ugly

Thankfully, mom didn't question my clothes. Just asked me how school went and the sleepover. The second I laid on my bed, I passed out. I didn't know I was that tired.

BEEP! BE--

I swear I'm gonna end up throwing this out my window one day.

I rolled out of bed and went downstairs. I made some instant breakfast drink while I watched the news.

"Tiffany Matheson and two of her friends, who were arrested earlier this week for battery, attempted murder, and endangering the welfare of a minor, have pleased guilty to all charges."

I felt a smile creep up on my face, the kind of smile you get from seeing someone you hate in pain. I'm happy justice has been served. I finished my drink, turned off the TV, and went back upstairs to finish getting ready. Clothes, makeup, then hair. I grabbed my phone and left.

As I was waking, I felt a hand touch my shoulder had I flinched. I turned and it was just Gerard. Sighing out of relief, I told him, "Good morning."
"Morning. It okay if I walk with you?"
"What kind of question is that? "Course, man!" My mind suddenly wandered to the events of last night. I felt my face get hot. I didn't mind that I had missed him, but I just then realized that was my first kiss. My face got even hotter.
"You okay, Rose?" Gerard asked me.
"Y-yeah. Just... yesterday..."
"I'm really sorry about that. They do this to every one of my friends that are girls," he explained.
"It's fine."
We heard footsteps behind us to find the rest of the group. We walked to school together.
"I don't think it's be a good idea to eat inside after yesterday's, erm, incident.," I told them when the school was in view.
"We found a new spot to eat, it's fine," replied Frankie.
"Wait, what happened?" asked Mikey. I immediately turned to Gee. "You didn't tell him?" He shook his head no.
I sighed. "We got in a fight with JJ," I told Mikey. I expected him to be mad for starting anything, but instead my looked ecstatic. "THE JJ? Dude, that's awesome!' We arrived right when the bell rang, and separated to get to class. When I sat down in history, I found myself smiling again.

~*~ TIME ELAPSE ~*~

Our new spot for lunch was behind the school. Smelled terrible, but it was the only place they said we wouldn't have food thrown at us or people starting fights.
"Hey, I'm sorry about yesterday. For making you two kiss," Mikey said after a while.
"It's fine," me and Gee replied in unison. We looked at each other and giggled.
"Okay, I take that back," Mikey corrected himself. "You're like the cutest couple ever."
"I met Gerard two days ago and you're suggesting we date?"
"No, no, I me-" Gerard threw his sandwich at Mikey before he could finish.
"By the way, we're going to see Midnight Hunter tonight. Care to join us?"
"The super gory horror movie?"
"Yeah. At 11."
"I'll ask my mom." The bell rang and I walked with Ray to chemistry.
"Do you really think me and Gerard would be a cute couple?" I asked him.
"Yeah. It'd be like one of those cheesy rom coms where the geeks fall in love with eachother. Except it's the outcasts. You two are the most... outstanding outcasts of this school. If they makes any sense. Everyone knows about Tiffany hating you and JJ, Gerard. It's weird if you were to date already, though. Like you said, you've only known eachother for a few days. You barely know anything about eachother. Go out on a date first at least." We reached class and we when to our assigned seats on the other side of the room. I don't know how we would turn up if we dated. He's not really my type. Then again, I've never dated before, so I don't really have a type. Plus, I don't really feel any attraction towards him, however, other them commenting on how cute some of his features were. Maybe I'd give it a chance.
