Suicide Note

Natalie's mother paced the living room worried about her daughter, usually she would be home by now unless she went to her friend Gerard's but she hasn't left her room in months until now. "She is fine." she says to herself exiting the warm house and going outside to collect the mail, she skims through the letters and reads one that says 'Mother,' reading the letter she drops to her knees and feels her heart breaking, she was one of the people that made her baby girl want to die. "If only I was a better mother to her." she says letting the hot salty tears roll down her cheeks.

Over at the Way's house Mikey, Gerard's younger brother gave him a letter. "Who is it from?" he asks and Mikey give's him a sad expression, "Natalie, she came around here. Nat looks terrible." Gerard returns the frown and remembers what he did to his old best friend a year ago. Mikey leaves Gerard's room and shuts the door behind him, Gerard rips open the envelope and reads the letter, "oh no." he says quietly, Gerard knows what Natalie has done. "I'm sorry Nat.." he says, Gerard's body shaking from the tears, "even though I was terrible to her she still loves me." he looks over to his dressing table where a picture of himself and Natalie is, they were 13 years old at the time, Gerard has a big smile on his face and so does Natalie. "Where ever you are Natalie, alive or not. You own my heart, forever and always." he says, lying down and remembering all the moments that they had together, trying to forget when she was 16, that was the last time he saw her... Running out of the school with tears streaming down her cheeks, his favourite memory of them both was when she was 14 and the went to the abandoned fair grounds together, Gerard remembers the smile on her face.

He remembers when she first told him that her mother abused her, and he held her tight and told her that he would always be there for her. Gerard remembers every kiss him and Natalie had shared, every hug, every tear.
