Suicide Note

When I was 10 my mother started drinking, I was still waiting for my dad to wake up. I hung out with Gerard a lot more and I didn't ever want to go back home where my mother would slur terrible things to me.

"Nat, when are you meant to go home?" Gerard's mum asks me and I just shrug my shoulders, "is everything there alright?" she asks again kneeling down beside me, I nod before Gerard yells for me to go up to his room. "COMING GEE!" I yell, "everything is fine Mrs Way." I say smiling a fake smile before walking down the corridor to Gerard's room. Mikey, Gerard's 7 year old brother was busy watching movies in his closed off room, you could see the light from the TV screen, "has your mum been hitting you again?" Gerard asks pulling me into his room, I feel tears forming in my eyes. "I want my dad to wake up." I say letting hot tears roll down my cheeks, Gerard pulls me in for a hug, "where is your dad, maybe we could wake him up together." Gerard says smiling and I nod taking his hand, "MUM NATALIE AND I ARE GOING TO GO WAKE UP HER DAD!" Gerard yells before we exit the house, "mum says he is sleeping underground, I have been told not to go to the place but I know where it is."

Gerard and I walk towards Cemetery Drive. and into the place where my dad is sleeping, "wait, Nat do you know what this is?" Gerard asks me and I smile, "mum said it's a place where people go to sleep for a long time." Gerard bites his lower lip and I lead him towards my dad's sleeping place, "Natalie this is a cemetery where people get buried because they die." Gerard says and my smile fads away, I look at the tombstone that I had been lead to believe was a marker where and when they would be waking up. "W-what, my dad is dead?" I say, Gerard wipes a stray tear from my cheek, "I'm sorry." he says quietly and I run off, not back to Gerard's house back to my own. I don't think I will ever forget what was written on my father's tombstone.

I don't want to write down what happened once I got home, I do hope you understand. I knew then that my father was never going to come back and I knew that my mother would get worse and worse, but what I didn't know was that Gerard was going to fall in love with me.

Notes

I hope you guys like this story so far, basically it's Natalie telling you her life and she will continue to tell her life to you until she writes the suicide note, I don't exactly know if she is going to die or not in the end but lets go on that journey together :)
