I'm Okay Now

**Gerard's pov**
I unlocked the door and let Katy and Mikey enter first before closing the it behind me. She entered speed walking and by the expression on her face I could tell how happy she was to be home.
"Well I think the first thing I should do is get out this ugly red color in my hair" she stated while brushing her mixed colored hair threw her fingers tugging out all the nots along its path. She was right the red wasent the prettiest shade and it crashed with her faded electric blue color that needed to be re done since it had to have been 5 weeks since the last time she dyed it, but what I had in mind was better.
"I'm already one step ahead of you" I commented "follow me"
I lead her up the stairs and down the long carpeted hallway into the bathroom. not the one in the guest room, I don't think she would be able to handle it. It would bring her back to probably the worst experience of her life and fill her with all the horrific memories. She followed me closely as if I was guarding her from something as I lead her into the main bathroom that was the largest and pulled out a bottle of color removal from the cabinet.
She sat down on the small stool in front of the full body mirror and allowed me to place an old towel around her neck protecting her cloths so they wouldn't get ruined by the color removal.
"Did you bleach your hair before you dyed it" I asked
"Nope! Also can you remove the blue too, I kind of miss my old hair"
"Sure thing sweetheart" I replied, I was actually really excited to see what her hair would look like naturally considering it had been blue ever since I met her. as I looked into the mirror before us and I saw her blush and cover it up by looking down at her shoes, I couldent help but smile.

Well Katy was right, her natural hair color was so beautiful. It was a brown but a shade I've never seen before. It had hint of auburn in it and some natural dirty blond highlights I couldn't help but smile at her beauty.
"Why are you smiling" she giggled
"Because you're really beautiful" I replied trying to keep my cool but I couldn't control an ear to ear smile to cross my face. When I looked in the mirror to see our reflection, her face was completely red, she blushed really easily and it was adorable. Her hair was now dry and back to its usual light brown and I loved it, but I also loved the blue. She had that kind of face that could pull off anything, any color, and any cut. I didn't even notice I was stroking her hair until she started to speak, taking me out of my thoughts.
"You seemed to have a lot of experience with hair dye, do you dye your hair often" after realizing what I was doing I quickly pulled away embarrassed.
"Umm ya, my hair is naturally brown, but then I bleached it only to find out it failed. Last time I ask Mikey to help me with my hair" she laughed "so to cover up the blond I just dyed it red and I felt like it worked. Then I became a teacher and had to dye it a natural color so I chose black"
"I couldent picture you with blond hair, but red would work on you. But I also really like your black hair" she said. "You know if I dident know you where my teacher I would have never guessed it"
"What do you mean" I asked
"Like... You don't sound very teacherish"
"Well what do you want me to do? Act like a teacher?"
"I don't think you could"
" what was that I heard young lady? Because of that you are getting extra homework and a detention after school" I joked and she laughfed looking up at me. I slowly wrapped my arms around her waist from behind as we both stared at eachother in the mirror.
"I'm so sorry mr.way, it won't happen again I promise" she joked and sounded like she was begging for her life.
"No apologies ms.katy, you will see me after school and I expect that essay done by tommorow" her smile grew even bigger as I continued to tease her.
"They don't give essays in music class" she corrected, and she was right but I wasent going to let her win this argument.
"Well do you want one?" Kate fell silent for a couple seconds but her smile dident disappear.
"Nah the music teacher is too nice to do that. I know him and well.. I kinda favorite him too"
"Why so?" I said as I picked her up and sat her down on the counter so she was now alittle bit taller and was facing me, staring down into my eyes.
"Because after all he has done for me it's impossible not to. He saved me from myself and also saved my life. He's giving me shelter when my father abandon me and he's the reason why I put a smile on my face everyday. If only there was a way I could repay him" I was blown away by what she said, is that really how she felt about me? And she has defiantly repaid me enoughf, trust me. She saved me from my past, I would have killed myself by now if it wasent for her.
"Oh Katy you have helped me so much trust me. You have done so much for me that is beyond repay. Trust me. If it wasent for you- bad things would have happened, thank you for all that you have done" I said staring deep into her eyes. She turned away and her cheeks have gone rosey pink, like they always do.
"Gerard I-" but before she could continue I crashed my lips onto hers and we begain to move in sinc. It was a short sweet kiss but it was enoughf to leave us both smiling and that was good enoughf for me.
"Thank you" she whispered into my ear as I pulled her in close for a hug.
We walked into the kitchen with my arm around Katy to find Mikey making dinner. He nearly dropped the pot of soup that would have followed with his mouth when he saw kate.
"Oh my fucking gosh Katy!!!! You look even more beautiful with your natural hair I've never seen it before! wow!" She smiled at his comment and let him stroke it. I'm not jealous. He's my brother how could I be...
"Thanks mikes! I haven't seen it either since I was 11, it's crazy what a girl could do to her hair in six years" she said with inthusiasm, it was great to see her back in action after her dark days have passed.

We all sat down at the glass table in the kitchen and started eating the chicken Mikey prepared for us. A lot of jokes and laughs where passed around and it was a great to have Katy back with us., something was missing without her.
"Do I have to go to school tommorow?" Katy asked me. I fell silent for a few seconds thinking about all that she has been thought in the past weeks.
"If you don't feel up to it then you don't have too." I didn't want to take her out of the hospital and send her right back into school, the girl needs a break after all she's been through.
"SWEET THANK YOU!" She yelled in an excited voice
"And Mikey your going to stay home and watch her" I explained they all seemed up too it.
No matter how much I trusted kate I was not going to let her be alone again in case she gets mad or her dad stopped by, that would be the last thing she needed.
"I'm going to take a shower and get ready for bed" Katy said whail making her way up the stairs, as soon as she was out of sight I got playfully slapped on the arm by my brother.
"What was that for!"
"Dude when are you going to ask her out!" He said
"Shhh!" I whispered "she might hear you!"
"Sorry but dude, girls don't like it when guys play games and I can tell, she's waiting for it to happen. You already act like it already, like how many times have you kissed her?"
"Well I've been waiting for the perfect time and I dident want to rush into it" I explained
"Well make it quick" he said "she might loose interest" I paused for a second at his words, then I felt a rush of nervousness cross my body, what if she is annoyed that this hasn't happened yet?
"I can see the way you two look at eachother. Trust me, it's ment to be" he started.
"Fine!" I said cutting him off. I loved Kate a lot and I wasent going to let her slip away from my grasp. I got up and placed the dishes in the dishwasher before heading back upstairs. I guess he was right but honestly I don't know how to ask her out. What if she says no? Sure I had a girlfriend in the past but I never asked her out, it just happened.
I slowly walked into the rather large guest bedroom and saw Katy sitti ng at the foot of the bed removing all her makeup for the night. God she was beautiful. Her green eyes could spark a match and her smile would light up a thousand city's it was so perfect.
"Hey, you getting tired too" she said with a smirk on her face. I plopped myself back down on the bed out of exostion considering I haven't gotten a good nights sleep ever since Katy left, I was tired. It was hard sleeping not knowing what she's feeling "Gerard it's only 9pm wake the fuck up" then she grabbed a pillow and playfully hit me with it.
"Two can play at that game" I joked as I quickly pounced off the bed grabbing the biggest pillow there was and threw it at her. She screamed but she was too late to doge it, it hit her chest with a soft thud and fell to the floor.
"You!" she screamed as she chased me around the large room trying to catch me. Too bad I was so much faster and stronger then her. As she came at me I grabbed her by the waist and threw her over my shoulder, she was screaming for me to put her down, but I knew deep down on the inside, she loved it. I was carefull about not touching her scars because it might hurt her but once when I knew we where clear I threw both of our body's down on the bed and we just stayed there laughing looking deep into each others eyes.
"Umm katy..." I began. I saw her pretty little face look up into mine hinting me to keep talking "well I was wondering if you would go out with me"

okay so what you all have been waiting for finally came! And if your wondering why I changed Katy's hair back to natural is because I feel like every female character On this website either has black or unnaturally dyed hair so I wanted katy to be diffrent. But what will Katy's response be? Will she say no? I'll try to post the next chapter tonight for you guys!
