***Gerard’s POV***
After failing to reason with Taylor, I finally just gave up and headed back downstairs. Mikey stood before me with an expressionless look on his face. “So, how did she take it?” He quietly asked. “Horrible…”I replied. “She hates me now…and everything is all my fucking fault.” I grunted. “Well maybe she just needs some time to cool off. It will all get better over time.” He reassured me, giving me a sympathetic look. “Who knows… She’s completely unpredictable.” I mumbled under my breath. “Well maybe I can talk to her about it.” He replied. “Sure, but I doubt that will change anything.” I said as I opened the kitchen cabinet and reached for a bottle of prescription pills. “Gerard, what are you doing with those?” I didn’t respond as I poured a handful of the medication into my palms. Mikey quickly slapped the pills out of my hand, letting them fall to the ground. “Dude what the fuck?!” I yelled. “You told me you weren’t going to take drugs anymore!” He argued. “No, I told you I would quit my alcohol addiction, not that I wouldn’t take drugs!” I could see a vein bulging out of his forehead. “Same difference!” He snatched the bottle of prescription pills out of my hand. “I hate how I always have to be the adult around you!” He yelled. “Mikey, just let me be, and stop telling me what to do! I can do whatever I want, so give them back to me.” I ordered. “No!” I felt so angry and frustrated that I just wanted to scream. I felt so helpless that I just gave up. “Fine…I don’t care if you give them back to me or not…I j-just want to be alone…” I said as I left and slowly walked up the stairs leading to my room, slamming the doors behind me.
