"Yes."
"But thats a bit... Bright?!"
It was the next day and they decided to keep Gerard in hospital to monitor his prgress, Frank had stayed in a scruffy armchair by his side. Gerard liked to watch him in his sleep.
"I know, its meant to be! To give you some confidence, your face could pull it off easily!" Frank grinned "hmmm.. I'll try it" as they contemplated dying Gerard's hair red a nurse walked into the room "Gee!" "Amanda?" She was a nurse? "Are you okay? Hey, i work in the other ward but i snuck down here to see you" she beamed "Im great actually, never been better" Amanda looked taken aback but didn't say anything at all "oh, okay good! Mikey says your getting out today?" She said perching on the edge of his bed, smiling at Frank "who's this?" Gerard might as well tell her now "meet my boyfriend frank.' Gerard's heart still fluttered at saying this, it showed on the heart monitor. Frank giggled, he liked being able to pretty much hear his feelings "Oh, I thought you were......" She trailed off, trying to mask her confusion "So did I" he smiled. "If you don't mind me asking" Amanda began, "have you had a girlfriend before?" "No, Or a boyfriend." Frank glanced over at him to check his expression, he couldn't believe it "you never.. Had a relationship?" "No. People asked, I didn't love them so I said no." He put it so simply it made Frank smile, it was the same for him "I understand, I thought I was the only one who believed that... I always thought i was straight cos i'd never loved anyone" Amanda shuffled uncomftablely on the bed, obviously worried they might start making out while she was sat there "sorry.." Gerard smiled embarrassed, then even more embarrassed as he remembered walking into her on his trek to find a towel. "No its fine! Would you like some help getting your things together?" Gerard mumbled a no thank you and then Amanda was gone in a graceful flurry.
"Mikey! Hey baby, I just saw your brother, I think he has some big news!"
"Is it Frank related by any chance?"
Mikey asked, bending down to greet his girlfriend with a kiss, they were stood in the carpark outside the hospital. "Now what would make you think that?" Amanda laughed.
"Yes."
