Our Lady Of Sorrows

"I'll go get him." He said then left the room, while he was gone I had another contraction and I was by myself..... It hurt so bad I almost started crying.

"Hey champ." Frank said as he came in, "How ya doing?" He asked then kissed my head.

"I really hurt, but my food will help." I said with puppy dog eyes.

Frank laughed and handed me my food, I squealed with excitement and began eating as fast as I could. Gerard and Frank were watching me and laughing, I rolled my eyes at them and contained with eating. About the time when I had finished eating I got, yet again, another contraction. Instantly Gerard came over held my hand, Frank looked like a deer in headlights.

"W-what c-can I d-do?" He asked.

"Nothing." I said between my teeth. I felt like I was being split in two.

When it finally passed Gerard began to rub his hands.

"That one lasted longer than the others, I'm gonna get the doctor." He said then left.

"Frank, what's gonna happen?" I asked.

"Well the contractions are gonna get closer ad closer together then when it's time your-"

"Frank I'm not kidding." I laughed and so did he.

"Neither am I. What do you mean?"

"I mean after I pop this thing out, between you and I, or between Gerard and I."

"We were friends before you knew about the baby, and you and Gerard had a connection before there was a baby. Your figure things out."

"I just wish things would have happened differently."

"Every pregnant teenager does." He said then smiled and kissed my head.

"Gerard told me your last contraction lasted a but longer than the others," the doctor said as he came in, Gerard was not far behind him, "mind if I take a look?"

I shrugged and he looked up my legs. It was really awkward because both Frank and Gerard were there and staring at me.

"Your only at 4, you still have 6 more centimeters to go before you can start pushing."

"How long?" I asked.

"It depends on the person, anywhere between 6-32 hours."

I groaned and threw my head back against the pillow, both Frank and Gerard laughed at me and Gee kissed my head. Normally I wouldn't have wanted him to because it makes everything complicated, but right now I didn't care.

"Is that all?" He asked me, Gerard was holding my hand and rubbing his thumb on my hand, it was soothing me.

"Yeah, it's not really a question but a request," I started, "When I, you know, have the baby, I heard doctors put the baby on the mothers chest. I'm giving up my parental rights so I was hoping you wouldn't, if you could just take it out of the room." After I said that Gerard stopped rubbing my hand ad retracted his.

"Are you sure?" The doctor asked.

"Yes." I answered.

"What about you dad?" The doctor asked Gerard.

"She's signing the rights over to me, so yeah I want to see my baby." The way he said the second part of his sentence kinda sounded like a jab at me.

I guess Frank thought that too because he started to give Gerard the same stare I was giving him. Was he really resenting me now?

"Ok, I'll make a note of that, until then, this may take awhile so try to relax." He said then left.

"Hey Gee!" Frank said suddenly standing up, "Come help me." Before Gerard could answer he dragged Gerard out of my room and down the hall.

As soon as they both were out if earshot I felt another contraction coming on and I clutched my stomach in pain. I was used to holding onto Gerard but he wasn't here right now so it felt a thousand times worse than anything before. I squeezed my eyes shut and prayed the pain would go away soon. Soon I felt a hand rest on my back and rub where the tension was the most, it instantly relieved a lot of pressure. When the contraction had passed I opened my eyes to find Gerard's mom standing there rubbing my back.

"Hello sweetheart, I believe our talk is overdue."
