Thick As Thieves [Mikey Way]

Chapter Thirteen

Christian’s POV
“I’m so fucking sorry, Drew…” I whispered to my best friend.
I’m a horrible person.
But I can’t help it.
He has her.
If I don’t do this, he’ll kill her.
He’ll turn her then kill her so she will just be stuck in purgatory forever.
I had tears in my eyes as I ran away from the camp.
I quickly turned to my wolf form and kept running and running until I got to the castle.
I turned back to my human form before I walked in.
I walked down the halls to a huge room with massive wooden doors.
I threw them open and stormed in.
“I fucking did it. Are you happy? Can I have my wife back now?!” I snapped.
The tall man in black just smirked and looked at the guards.
He nodded towards them and about four of them walked out in single file.
“That was an incredibly heartless act you just committed, you know.” He told me and I snarled.
He just smirked at me.
“Who said that was a bad thing?” he asked and I clenched my fists.
“You made me betray my best friend. She will never forgive me.” I growled through gritted teeth.
The man in black but crossed his arms, smirking a fang-filled smirk.
“You didn’t have to. It was the little hunter or…”
He gestured to the pale brunette girl with the sparking blue eyes I fell in love you that they threw to the grown a few feet in front of me.
She let out a gasp and I ran to her, taking her in my arms.
She looked at me, obviously terrified.
“Shhh…. I’m here now. You’re safe…” I whispered, hugging her tightly.
Her buried her face in my shoulder and I felt her tears roll soak my shirt.
“I love you Christian.” She whispered in her small voice.
I held her close and protectively with no intention of letting the love of my life go.
Ever.
“I love you too Kayla. Did they hurt you?” I asked, cupping her face in my hands.
Before she could give me an answer, the man in black rolled his eyes.
“Get them out of here!” he barked at the guards.
Suddenly, the two of us were lifted up and thrown out the door.
I pulled Kayla close and made sure she didn’t take any of the impact.
I groaned, hitting the hard concrete enough for the both of us.
I sat up with great difficulty and shook my head quickly, pulling myself to my feet and lifting my wife into my arms.
She wrapped her arms around my neck and I turned my back.
That the price I had to pay.
I lost my best friend to save the woman I love.
The woman who would be the mother of my children.
The gorgeous woman who is my wife.
I couldn’t let them hurt her.
I will never be able to forgive myself for betraying Drew the way I did.
Hell, I don’t deserve to even go to hell for what I did to her.
But I don’t regret it.

That's just so cool.
Our stories are different, but they have some similarities. Great minds think alike! ^_^ Anyway, I love it! You're now a big inspiration, so thank you!
