The Personal Assistant - COMPLETED

"Matthew?"

"Matthew? What about Matthew?" I pointed towards the door, Gerard turned around to see Matt standing there.

"Shiloh, what happened to you? Lindsey called me and said you were in the hospital, she said you were attacked." He walked closer to me, coming to the other side of my bed. He leaned down and hugged me, giving my forehead a kiss.

"Hey Gerard, thank you so much for helping her. My dad says hi and to give him a call, wants to get together and play some D&D soon."

My mind started screaming, "tell Gerard! Tell him right now! Don't let him leave! Tell Gerard that Matt was one of the attackers!" I looked up at Gerard, he kept his eyes on Matthew, almost glaring at him. Did he know?

"Shiloh?" I moved my head to look up at Matt. "Are you okay? I was so worried about you, when you never came home and I tried calling you. I was going to call the police....."

"Why didn't you?" I was actually shocked by Gerard's interruption.

"Excuse me?" Matt now looked angry, if Gerard left he would take it out on me.

"I'm assuming the last time you saw her was Friday evening before she went to dinner with me, right? It's Sunday afternoon, meaning she's been missing for almost two days now. You didn't call the police, you didn't even try to fucking call me. What kind of boyfriend are you?"

"Are you saying I don't care about her? I absolutely love Shiloh and would never want anyone to hurt her." In some way he was probably telling the truth, he wouldn't want just anyone hurting me, he was the one that wanted that honor.

"Gerard, I think you can leave now. She'll be fine with me, you've done enough."

"I'm not fucking going anywhere."

"What do you mean?" All of us turned towards the door to see Lindsey now standing there. She looked pissed, "Gerard it's time for you to come home. Her boyfriend is here now, she's fine. I'm leaving and you better be behind me. Shiloh, I am sorry about what happened to you, no one deserves that."

She left us, in that last instance she actually looked sorry for me. Gerard stood there, I could tell he was thinking about what he should do. Suddenly he ran after her, leaving me alone with Matthew. He walked to the door and locked it, slowly coming back to me.

"I knew you would run to him for help, still a little whore. He doesn't care about you, not like he does for Lynz, and he will never love you. Did you forget that I'm the only one who could ever love you? Did you forget I'm the only one who finds you beautiful? Now tell me you love me."

"No."

"No? I think you need another lesson." He grabbed my arm and pressed down on a couple of the cuts. Making me scream in pain, but he was quicker and covered my mouth before I let out anything. His nails digging into them, piercing the skin and going deeper.

"Now tell me you love me." No matter what I refused to tell him that, not this time. He raised his hand to hit me but was stopped when knocking came at the door.

"Shy? Why is the door locked? Open the door." It was Gerard, coming to save the day.

After thinking about if I should follow after Lindsey or stay with Shiloh, I decided on following Lynz. I raced after her and caught her outside the hospital doors. "Lynz, wait." She turned to look at me, she was crying.

"Can we just go home, be with our daughter and maybe get away for awhile?"

"Babe, I would love that but I can't leave Shiloh." She turned to walk away but I grabbed her arm. "She's not safe with Matt."

"What are you talking about? He's her boyfriend."

"Lynz, she came over one day with a giant bruise on her face. She gave me this story but I didn't believe her. I think Matthew hit her, she also had bruises on her back that were there before the attack."

"Do you think Matt raped her?"

"Yes, along with one of his buddies. Maybe even the roommate, Zacky. Please I know I screwed up by kissing her, but I don't think she's safe."

"Who do you love more? Me or her?"

"Lindsey, why would you ask that?"

"Gerard I see the way you look at her, you've already admitted to kissing her a few times. I'm not stupid, you love her too."

"I don't know how I feel, but we can talk about all that later. Right now, I just can't go with you and I hope you understand that."

"Let's go check on her together, I love you Gerard and I don't want to lose you." We kissed before running back inside the hospital. I went to open the door but it was locked so I tried knocking.

"Shy? Why is the door locked? Open the door." Lynz and I heard the click, Matthew opened the door and I could tell she had been crying.

Before Matt went to open the door he grabbed my neck and whispered in my ear, "not a word or I'll make you suffer." He moved towards the door and opened it, revealing not only Gerard but Lindsey as well.

"I thought you two left already." Matthew walked back to me, grabbing my hand tight.

"Yeah well Lynz and I decided that both of us would stay and make sure Shy was okay."

"She's fine, she's with me now. Just because you want to sleep with my girlfriend doesn't mean she's yours."

"Matthew, stop it." I couldn't believe he said that, it's like he wasn't even trying to act nice anymore. Before anyone could say anything else, Dee entered the room.

"My oh my, look at all the visitors you have today. How are we feeling?" Even though the question was for me to answer, everyone but me answered.

"Upset."

"Pissed."

"Furious."

"Well I'm sorry you three are all not having a good day but if you don't mind I was asking this poor child." My eyes darted from Lindsey to Gerard to Matthew. Gerard and Matthew refused to break contact, it was the most intense version of the staring contest.

Lindsey just looked upset, I wish there was something I could say but there wasn't. Her gaze was on her hands, looking at her wedding ring.

"Child?" I looked at Dee, she could tell things were intense and stressful. She nodded her head, "that's it, all visitors out of the room. We're giving this young lady some alone time. Now move it,"

Dee actually had to push both Matthew and Gerard out of the room. It was nice to be alone, away from all of that but I knew it wouldn't last long. I also knew my time in the hospital wouldn't last forever, I would be sent home by tomorrow if the doctor said I was good.

Where would I go? Would I end up with Matt and Zacky, back at the apartment? Could I pack up and go back to stay with my mom back home? I could hear fighting outside the room, Gerard and Matthew were yelling at each other.

As soon as Dee closed Shiloh's door I turned to Matt and punched him. It felt so good to finally do that, Even if my theory was wrong and he hasn't hurt Shy in anyway, that comment he made earlier deserved a punch.

"Gerard!" Lindsey was behind me, I'm sure I shocked everyone with that punch. I was about to say something to her but was tackled to the ground by Matt, who started throwing punches. The fight continued, I got some more good throws in there but so did he.

We were finally separated, that's when the yelling started. "What the Hell is your problem?"

"You're the one who attacked her, aren't you?"

"Give it a rest, you want my girlfriend so bad you would accuse me of being a monster!"

"You don't deserve her, you're just a little shithead!"

"Don't forget asshole, it was you and my dad's idea to set us up together! You just can't stand the fact we're happy!"

Now we both stood there, our breathing heavy and rapid. "I'm leaving, I don't need to take your shit. I'll be back to pick up my girlfriend tomorrow and take her home. Why don't you show your wife some attention instead of my girl?"

Then he left, leaving me and Lynz alone. She was crying, I didn't know what to do anymore. Everything in my life was falling apart because of this one girl. This has to end now.
