(Gerard's pov)

“OMG! WE HAVE TO CALL THE NURSES!” Mikey said. “No!” I said trying to stop him before he goes out of the room. “Why?” He asked confused. “I don’t how it works, maybe they tell us to go out of the room and I want to be her.” I explained and Mikey sighed. Frank and Mikey walked towards me and Cassie, staring at her.

“Cassie? Can you hear me?” I asked, this time hoping she would answer, but nothing, she kept in silence as always, the only thing that was different was that she was still holding my hand. “Baby, squeeze my hand if you can hear me.” I said. But she didn’t react.

Frank got near Cassie. “Hey Cassie. It’s me, Frank. Do you know that thanks to you I’m dating Esther?” He asked her, but the same happened, she didn’t answer.

Mikey got near her too. “Cassie, if you wake up now, I promise I would not yell at you until you wake up every morning, I promise I would not say stupid things that bother you, I promise I would help you even more with anything you want, just wake up, please… I need my best friend back.” He said with a tear rolling down his cheek. Mikey never had a best friend before he met Cassie, that’s why Cassie was very important for him too.

We three stared at Cassie to see if she reacts at what Mikey said. Nothing. We tried to speak to her almost all the day, we didn’t eat anything just to stay there in case she wakes up.

Around 20:00 or so, Frank’s phone started ringing. “Yeah?” He said. Then someone said something on his phone and Frank said. “Yeah, I am on the hospital with Gerard, how do you know it?” Probably it was Esther who was calling him. “Oh… so he was there…” Frank said. I’m going to kill Esther. “No, no, I won’t tell him that you told me.” He said and hang up.

Then Frank looked at me. “Why the fuck you call my girlfriend to stay in her house?” He said angrily. “I saw your phone and that idea came to my mind.” I said. “Next time ask me for permission.” He said. “If I would have done that, I wouldn’t be here.” I said and he sighed.

“Mikey, can we stay the night here?” I asked to Mikey. “Okay…” He muttered.

Mikey and Frank fell asleep like one hour ago. But I still awake with the hope Cassie will wake up. She had stop holding my hand like around five hours earlier or so. Now I was just watching her sleep.

I placed my head on her pillow. “Cassie… I had repeated this many times since you are here, but I’m going to repeat it again… That girl you saw with me in the music store, wasn’t my girlfriend, I’m not going to lie, she used to be, but now she doesn’t, I broke up with her a long time ago. You are my girlfriend, Cassie. It really broke my heart when you thought I was cheating on you, I would never do that, okay?” I said looking at the ceiling of the room.

“When I followed you trying to explain this to you and you stopped in front of that bridge… I knew what you were going to try, I ran towards you as fast as I ever did, but I was late, I only could grab your foot, but my strenght betrayed me and I end up falling down with you. The fall seemed to last forever, I can still remember the sad look in your eyes, probably wondering why I was falling with you, the answer it’s easy, I told some seconds before we collided with the floor… because I love you. Those were the three words that came out of my mouth when I thought the end was coming and if they are the last words you heard in your life, I want you to know they are true… I love you, Cassie…” I said with a tear rolling down my cheek.

“I love you too, Gerard.”
